Marc, Ivy, and Beer spent the day together, filled with laughter and endless energy. Ivy couldn’t get enough of Marc’s witty remarks, and Beer found himself amazed at how easily Marc could charm everyone around him.
They first stopped by a toy store, where Marc’s eyes lit up at the sight of all the colorful shelves. Ivy let him pick out one toy, but Marc, being thoughtful, also grabbed a small gift for his papa and dada.
“Papa likes soft things. Maybe this, he always hug dada” Marc said, pointing to a cozy-looking pillow.
Ivy grinned, her heart melting. “That’s so sweet of you, Marc. Let’s get it.”
After the toy store, they went to a café for lunch. Marc insisted on ordering a special pastry for his papa and dada, announcing to the waiter with a big smile, “They’ll love this one!”
Throughout the day, they visited a small park, a bookstore, and even a dessert shop. Marc’s energy seemed endless as he ran around, holding both Ivy and Beer’s hands. Ivy couldn’t help but take photos of him, promising to send them to Fang later.
By the time the sun began to set, Marc was still bubbling with excitement, though his small yawns betrayed his growing tiredness. They bought some takeout food on their way home, making sure to include Fang’s favorite meal and a sweet treat for Tan.
“Uncle Beer, I got a surprise for Papa and Dada,” Marc said proudly, clutching the small gifts he’d chosen earlier.
“I’m sure they’re going to love it, champ,” Beer replied with a smile, patting Marc’s head.
As they pulled into the driveway, Ivy looked back at Marc, who was leaning against her shoulder, his eyes drooping but his grip on the gift bag tight.
“Come on, little man, we’re home,” Ivy said softly, nudging him awake.
Marc perked up immediately, his excitement renewed. “Papa and Dada will be so happy!”
Ivy and Beer helped him out of the car, carrying the bags of food and gifts. When they knocked on the door, Fang, who had just woken up from a nap, opened it. His face lit up when he saw Marc running toward him.
“Papa! Look what I got for you!” Marc exclaimed, holding out the gift bag.
Fang knelt down to hug him, his heart swelling with affection. “You’ve been such a good boy, Marc. Thank you.”
As they entered, Marc eagerly started recounting the day’s events, his words tumbling over each other in excitement. Ivy and Beer laughed, setting the food on the table.
“You’ve got quite the storyteller here,” Beer said to Fang, who smiled fondly.
“I know,” Fang replied, ruffling Marc’s hair. “Thank you both for taking him out. He looks so happy.”
“It was our pleasure,” Ivy said warmly. “Marc’s a delight.”
Tan arrived shortly after, greeted by Marc running to him with just as much enthusiasm. “Dada! Dada! I got something for you too!”
Tan picked him up, smiling. “You did? Let me see.”
Marc handed him a small keychain, shaped like a star. “For your bag, Dada. So you think of me at school.”
Tan’s smile softened as he kissed Marc’s forehead. “Thank you, baby. I love it.”
The family sat down to enjoy the food Ivy and Beer had brought, sharing stories and laughter. As the night grew late, Ivy and Beer eventually said their goodbyes, with Ivy promising to visit Marc again soon.
