After Fang passed out, Tan quickly carried him to their bedroom, his heart racing with worry. Marc, their little one, sat innocently in his baby chair, chewing on a piece of fruit, blissfully unaware of the commotion.

Tan grabbed his phone with trembling hands and called the doctor, his voice urgent as he explained the situation. Within minutes, the doctor arrived, his bag of tools and tests in hand.

“Stay calm,” the doctor reassured, but Tan couldn’t stand the sight of Fang lying so still. He stepped out of the room, his chest tightening with every breath.

Leaning against the hallway wall, Tan scrolled through his contacts and found Phum's number. He pressed call.

“Phum,” Tan said when the line connected, his voice thick with emotion. “Can you come?”

After the doctor arrived, Tan quickly led him to the bedroom where Fang lay unconscious. His voice was shaky as he explained, “Fang passed out… after vomiting earlier.”

The doctor nodded, his expression calm but serious. “I’ll need to run some tests,” he said, setting down his bag and pulling out his equipment.

Tan hesitated for a moment, watching as the doctor prepared, then decided to step out of the room to give him space to work.

It didn’t take long for Phum to arrive. He rushed through the front door, his concern evident. “What happened?” he asked, his tone sharp with worry as he approached Tan, who was pacing in the living room.

Tan ran a hand through his hair, his face pale. “The doctor’s still running some tests. Fang just… collapsed after vomiting..”

Phum glanced toward the bedroom door, his brow furrowed. “And Mom and Dad? Do they know?”

Tan shook his head. “They’re out of town on business. I didn’t want to worry them yet.”

Phum let out a slow breath, trying to steady himself. He placed a hand on Tan’s shoulder, his voice lowering as a thought crossed his mind. “Tan… do you think Fang might be pregnant again?”

Tan froze, his eyes widening as he stared at Phum. The words hung in the air, and for a moment, he couldn’t speak. “Pregnant?” he finally whispered, his mind racing.

Phum nodded. “It’s possible. The vomiting, passing out—it’s how it started last time, right?”

Tan’s heart skipped a beat. The possibility hadn’t even crossed his mind amidst the chaos, but now… it made sense. “I-I don’t know,” he stammered, his voice trembling. “I guess we’ll find out soon enough.”

The bedroom door creaked open, and the doctor stepped out, his face unreadable. Tan and Phum exchanged a nervous glance before hurrying over to hear what he had to say.

The doctor stepped into the living room, his expression calm but serious. Tan and Phum immediately rushed over, their hearts pounding.

The doctor glanced at Tan and spoke gently, “Fang is fine for now, I have a news for you, he’s pregnant.”

Tan blinked in shock, his lips parting as he struggled to find words. “P-Pregnant?” he echoed, his voice barely above a whisper.

The doctor nodded. “Yes. It explains the vomiting and why he passed out. His body is reacting to the changes, and he needs plenty of rest. He’ll wake up later, but I strongly recommend that you bring him in for a check-up soon. We’ll need to monitor his health closely.”

Tan nodded slowly, his mind a whirlwind of emotions—relief that Fang was okay, and surprise at the news of another baby. “Thank you, Doctor,” he said, his voice steadying.
