The morning sun peeked through the curtains, and the house was filled with the soft hum of life waking up. Tan groaned lightly, still half-asleep, when he felt the little thuds of Daisy jumping onto the bed.
"Dada! Dada! Wake up!" she chirped, her voice full of energy. "You promised we'd eat the food we brought home last night for breakfast!"
Tan chuckled, rubbing his eyes as he sat up, pulling Daisy into a playful hug. "Alright, alright, I'm up," he said, his voice laced with amusement. "But aren't you too excited for food this early?"
"It's because it's so yummy!" Daisy replied, her cheeks puffing out as she pouted for a second, making Tan laugh harder.
At that moment, Fang stirred beside him, his hand lazily reaching out to pat Daisy's head. "You're so loud this morning, little one," he teased, his voice still thick with sleep.
Marc and Jelly soon appeared at the door, still in their pajamas, rubbing their eyes. "What's all the noise about?" Marc asked groggily, leaning against the doorway.
"Daisy is demanding breakfast," Tan explained, swinging his legs off the bed.
Jelly, who was holding onto Marc's hand, chimed in. "She was talking about it all night. She even dreamed about it!"
"Did not!" Daisy protested, crossing her arms. "I just really liked the food."
Fang chuckled and waved them off. "Alright, everyone downstairs. Let's get breakfast ready."
The kids cheered and ran off toward the kitchen, their footsteps echoing through the house. Tan stretched, yawning as he followed them downstairs. He found Daisy already at the table, eagerly waiting, while Marc and Jelly were helping each other set out the plates and utensils.
Tan warmed the food, the aroma filling the kitchen and making everyone's mouths water. Fang joined them a few minutes later, tying his robe and smiling at the sight of his family.
"Dada's cooking magic strikes again," Marc teased as Tan began serving portions of the food.
"Not really cooking if I'm just heating it up," Tan replied with a grin, handing Daisy her plate first.
They all sat down together, enjoying the meal as laughter and chatter filled the room. Daisy couldn't stop talking about how delicious everything was, making everyone smile.
By the end of breakfast, Marc and Jelly started teasing Daisy again about how she couldn't stop eating, and Fang had to step in once more. "Alright, no more teasing your sister," he said, ruffling Marc's hair.
Daisy, her cheeks full of food, gave a playful glare at her brothers. "I'll finish first and take all the leftovers!" she declared, making everyone burst into laughter.
It was another beautiful, lively morning in their household, filled with love and joy, just as it always was.
After breakfast, the kids eagerly helped clean the table. Marc carried the plates to the sink, Jelly wiped the table with her small hands, and Daisy-always distracted by her love for food-tried to sneak bites of the leftovers while carrying bowls to the counter. Fang watched them from the living room, smiling as Tan supervised, praising the kids for their teamwork.
A little while later, everyone was settled in the living room. Fang sat on the couch, his growing belly a comforting reminder of the little one they were all waiting for. Jelly had cozied up beside him, her small arms hugging her papa's side. Fang gently stroked her hair, feeling her warmth as she snuggled closer.
Daisy, meanwhile, sat on the carpet nearby, her cheeks puffed up like a chipmunk as she stuffed a snack into her mouth. Fang raised a brow at her, amused. "Daisy, didn't you just eat breakfast? Are you really still hungry?"
