'Why do I feel so shitty today...'
Minji groaned for the tenth time even though she was only awake for an hour, rubbing her face as she walked back into her bedroom, tucking in her polo for work.
She glanced at her calendar before walking back out of her room, freezing in her spot.
"..."
A sudden flashback hit her then, and she shook her head to clear the horrid image away.
"Fuck-"
Minji slapped her face a couple times to wake up, quickly heading to her car so she wouldn't be late for work.
Of course she felt terrible today.
Ten years ago today, it was Heeseo's funeral.
Minji didn't even celebrate her eighteenth birthday that year, she spent the day crying in her room remembering all the things Heeseo said they would do together once they both turned eighteen.
Heeseo never turned eighteen.
Heeseo died a month before Minji's birthday.
Heeseo died two months before graduation.
And now Minji was TWENTY-eight, and it hurt just as much as it did when she turned eighteen without one of her best friends by her side.
Minji just knew it'd be a shitty day at work today.

Minji fell onto her couch as soon as she got home, and if it wasn't for the voice in the back of her head telling her to get the hell up and shower, she probably would've fallen asleep right then and there.
Today was indeed, quite shitty.
It didn't help that Minji had to force a smile genuine enough for her co-workers and boss to not get worried, the last thing she wanted was to be bombarded with questions.
She stood in the shower, steaming hot water raining down on her as she stared at the wall aimlessly.
As soon as she stepped out and changed into her pajamas, she didn't even wait for her hair to dry.
She went straight to bed, not bothering to check her phone again before crawling under the covers.
It was Saturday tomorrow, she had no obligations.
She would just sleep the night and day away...

...
"Minji-yah!"
"Nae Eomma?"
"Come out, Heeseo is calling you!"
"Ah- coming!"
Minji stopped what she was doing, jogging out of her bedroom to see her mother on the phone.
"I just called Minji out, she should be- ah- there she is."
Minji's mother handed her the phone, walking away to do her own thing.
"Hello?"
"Min!"
"Hey Heeseo-yah, what's up?"
"Can I come over?"
"Huh?"
Minji glanced out the window, seeing the sun set, "right now???"
