"Bye unnies!"
"See ya Hyein-ah."
"Bye Hyein! It was nice seeing you again."
"Yeah!"
Hanni hugged Hyein before the younger girl began to walk away, the bunny glancing up to the front.
"Can I sit in the front?"
"Huh- oh yeah sure."
Hanni grinned, quickly jumping out the back seats to sit in the passenger seat.
"I remember back then I couldn't wait for you to start driving."
Minji chuckled, pulling out of the side of the street to head home, "yeah, you used to bother me about when I was getting my license all the time."
The two stayed silent for the quick duration of the drive, Minji had dropped both Danielle and Haerin off at the sunshine's place since it was the closest to where they had dinner, and Hyein had to go back home since she had school early the next day.
Minji had a feeling that, besides wanting to be with Haerin, Danielle wanted the bear and the bunny to have some alone time to talk.
With nothing else planned, Hanni agreed on visiting Minji's apartment, which they arrived at as the sun fully set.
"Welcome to my humble abode, sorry it's a bit messy, I didn't expect anyone to come over."
Hanni looked around as she entered inside, "cozy place you have..."
But then the bunny froze, staring at a familiar doll on Minji's couch, "you... still have him?"
Minji glanced over after putting her keys on the kitchen counter, seeing Hanni walk over to the couch.
To Mr. Bear.
Hanni gently held him, and for a flash of a second, Minji got reminded of how harshly Hanni ripped him apart back when they were seniors in high school.
She didn't expect to still be hurt by it, seeing a grown-up, more mature, Hanni holding her first, and parting, gift.
It was as if the woman in front of her was from ten years ago, suddenly the scene of Hanni ripping Mr. Bear was back in the front of her mind.
"O-oh um..."
She watched as Hanni hesitantly felt his re-sewn back, "you fixed him too..."
"Actually Hyein did... I um... I didn't bring him with me when I moved out but I guess she found him. She fixed him and gave it back to me a few weeks ago."
Hanni sadly frowned, gently hugging the teddy bear, "I'm sorry for hurting you..."
And with her apology, the image of the ripped bear peacefully washed away.
Minji weakly chuckled, "me or Mr. Bear?"
The bunny glanced at Minji, walking over to embrace the older woman while still holding onto the doll.
"Both of you, you especially."
The bear melted into her hug, "I'm sorry too..."
...
...
...
...
The two pulled away, their eyes locking as they gazed into each other's souls in silence for a few moments.
...
...
"Do you really want to?"
"Huh?"
