"Right person, wrong time....

Right script, wrong line...

Right poem, wrong rhyme...

and a piece of you, that was never mine"

Vicky's POV

Working with Mel was... interesting. She wasn't as scary as people (MATTHEW) told me about her, but she definitely had this intimidating edge, not that I have a crush on her or something its just that her confidence is remarkable. Still, once we got past the awkward introductions, things weren't too bad.

"So, Vicky," she started, tapping her pen against her notebook. "What's something people don't know about you?"

"What kind of question is that?" I asked, chuckling nervously.

"A normal one," she replied, tilting her head to the right. "I mean, come on, it's not like I'm asking your deepest, darkest secrets."

"Okay, um..." I paused, thinking. "I secretly wish I could be a chef?"

She blinked in surprised. "You? A chef?"

"What's wrong with that?" I said, acting offended by the tone.

"Nothing," she said, laughing. "I just can't picture it. What would you even cook?"

"Spaghetti," I said a little too confidently.

"That's it? Spaghetti?" she teased. "Wow, such an high aim."

We laughed, and for a while, the conversation felt easy. But then, out of nowhere, she got quiet. Her smile faded, and her gaze dropped to the table.

"You good?" I asked, leaning forward a little.

"What? Yeah, totally," she said, waving me off.

"Mel," I said, lowering my voice. "You've got that "im not fine but i won't tell you why" look"

She hesitated, chewing on her lip. Finally, she sighed. "It's Alex."

"What about him?"

She looked embarrassed. "He thinks we're dating."

It took me a second to process that. "Wait, what?"

"Yeah," she said, rolling her eyes. "He basically accused me of sneaking around with you. Like, seriously? Where would he even get that idea?"

I couldn't help it so I burst out laughing.

"Vicky!" she snapped. "This isn't funny!"

"Thats like hilarious!" I said between laughs. "Us? Dating? That's insane!"

She crossed her arms oh good lords! she was glaring at me. "Glad you're enjoying this."

"Okay, okay," I said, holding up my hands in surrender. "I'm sorry. But honestly, this is ridiculous."

"Yeah, well, try being his girlfriend," she muttered.

After that moment, In order to make her more comfortable, I decided to drop my own little secret. "You know, this is even funnier because I actually have a girlfriend."
