"Never Fall in love with ur best friend. If something goes wrong,
your heart wouldnt be able to take up two losses at a time."

Sebby's POV
Annie sat happily by her window, the warm afternoon sun casting a soft glow over her features. I am sure she would be day dreaming about her best friend cum crush.
You know, They weren't just best friends; they were confidants, partners in crime, and the keepers of each other's secrets. With Alex by her side, Annie was never sad. Alex made her laugh and talk freely. He brought the best out of her. Annie not only feels alive with him, but also feels safe with him.
If I didn't know any better, I would say they are just perfect for each other. But, Something just didn't feel right. Since past few months, Alex just doesn't act the same as he did before. His mind is always somewhere else.
I support Annie's decision. I really do. I just don't want something to go wrong, Annie loves him a lot, the way I've seen she stares at him is indescribable. What if Alex doesn't love her back the same way? Sure he considers her a best friend, but- But, I am the queen of skepticism and I shouldn't overthink this.
Now 2 overthinkers will stop overthinking,
"Hey, Annie!" I called her out.
"Hey Sebby" She replied nonchalantly.
I annoyed her further, "Come out of La-La Land girl-"
She started hitting me on my arm. "Damn! Why so violent woman? Calm down." I said, while laughing.
She gave me one last glare and went inside the room. "Are you ready for our movie night? Alex is on his way!" I shouted behind her. Its been long since I've watched movies with friends. I just wasn't the one to make and have friends, Anyways that's a story for some other time.
"Just a second!" Annie replied with a smile, while I simply chuckled. I admire how her smile goes wider just by the mention of his name. I walked back to the living room and slumped on the couch. She straightened her hair for the 8038120th time and took a deep breath. Then she fianlly joined me and Alex in the living room.
(Alex had just come)
Even a blind person would tell that she was nervous. Tonight was the night she planned to take a leap of faith and confess her true feelings to Alex.
The movie was playing but Annie's attention was divided, her gaze often moving towards Alex. Annie was waiting for the perfect moment, a pause in the movie where she could turn to him, take his hand, and speak her heart out. But just then, we heard a knock on the door and then, SHE entered.

Melissa's POV
I was getting ready for what felt like one of the biggest moments of my life, moving to the beat of Demi Lovato. Her confidence was intoxicating, and I needed all of it tonight. I had picked out my favorite black gown, one that made me feel invincible, with delicate embroidery that hugged my edges just right.
Tonight, Alex was finally going to meet my parents. I'd been thinking about this for weeks.
But when I got to his place, my confidence started to crack. His mom greeted me with a warm smile, but then she told me he wasn't there. Instead of preparing for our big night, he'd gone next door for a movie night with his friends.
