The party that my father held yesterday with his friends left the house untidy and unfortunately, I am the only one who has to clean the mess. The living room was in a disaster: the bottles were everywhere, glass was shattered and remains of food were laying there on our sofa. I don't understand how they manage to leave the house early morning while they spent the whole night drinking and dancing.

After I finished cleaning the house which seemed like forever, I decided to make breakfast. If it wasn't my brother who always go shopping, I would spend the rest of my life starving. As I was making my way towards the kitchen, the doorbell rang announcing my brother's arrival.

I raced to the door because I really can't wait to see my brother. I swung open the door and find out my brother welcoming me with open arms.

" Welcome home Lou "

" Stop calling me Lou, it's sounds girlish "

" It really matches you Louuuuu "

" My father isn't here? "

" Thanks for avoiding me and no, he is not here "

" Did he spent the night here ? "

" Yeah, there was a party in our house yesterday "

" I see "

" I was about to take my breakfast, wanna join ? "

" My pleasure "

We head to the kitchen with the aim of feeding our bellies. Since I haven't made the breakfast yet, he decided to prepare it by himself. After ten minutes, breakfast was served.

" Mmmmm, I'm in love with your cooking "

I always thought that my brother should be a chief and not a pilot, he has being always good at cooking.

" So how many months do you plan to stay ? "

" Actually, I was going to talk to you about this "

" So, how many months ? "

" I'm only staying for one week Cass "

" What? why? You used to stay for months "

" Something has occured Cass and you need to know. This is the last week I'm going to spend with you "

" This is a joke right? "

He remained silent. He refused to look me in the eyes because he knew that I couldn't bear staying away from him.

" Lou, please tell me this is a joke, you're kidding right? "

" Cass, I am moving to L.A, I'm going to work in Los Angeles International Airport "

" But why? Don't you like it there in London ? "

" It's beyond me Cass, it is an order and I have to obey "

I didn't know what else to say, my eyes were filled with tears. Los Angeles is miles and miles away from Chester and this means that I won't have the chance to see my brother again. My only family is going to leave me, my only brother.

Without saying a word, I went upstairs to my room. I really needed to stay by my own, I needed to figure this out. I can't and I will never let go of my brother.
