Louis's POV :
It has been three days now, three days since Cassandra disappeared. Those past few days made of my life meaningless, I feel like the universe has fallen in my feet and everything turned to dark.
While I was trying to bear the emptiness Cass disappearance caused me, my father wasn't even aware she's long gone.
I was leaning in his room's door just watching him getting drunk when I decided to talk.
" Cass has disappeared " I said nonchantly
" Uh huh, good "
I stared at him for a while, maybe my eyes didn't want to believe that this man who is now in front of me was once our father. I can't believe that he no longer cares about his daughter. It doesn't matter to me if he doesn't care about me but Cass needs him. She always needed him even if she doesn't show it.
I chased away those thoughts. After all, what happened, happened and time can't be brought back.
*****
I was downstairs waiting for Javier to come so we could discuss Cassandra's disappearance. After thirty minutes, we were in the living room as he was telling me about his researches.
" I have sent some men to look for her but until now, I haven't got any news. "
" IT HAS BEEN THREE DAYS JAVIER ! "
" Louis, you have to calm down "
" HOW AM I GOING TO CALM DOWN WHILE MY SISTER IS LOST AND GOD KNOWS WHAT SHE'S ENDURING NOW ! "
" Do you suspect someone? "
" No. We barely know people here "
He kept silent for a moment before he asked me.
" And your father? "
" You know him, he passes his day drinking "
Javier was my friend since Highschool so he knows everything about my family and that's why I charged him to take care of Cassandra's case.
" Louis, I have something I thought about and I felt the urge to tell you "
" Yeah? "
" Don't you think that she ran? "
" WHAT? That's impossible. Cass won't do it "
" I mean if she doesn't show up at the end, the only explanation is that she ran "
" Cass will never leave me without saying goodbye. "
" Well, if you say so but think about it. After all, she has been through hard times and maybe she decided to leave and forget about it; maybe living in Chester made her life more difficult. "
" Javier, I know my sister and leaving is the last thing she can do "
" Anyway, we will continue our investigations and if anything happens, I will make sure to tell you "
" Thanks " I replied while sighing
With that, he left the house while I started thinking about his thesis. Could it be real? I was aware that Cassandra was suffering every day but leaving the house, leaving me all of sudden, that isn't at all expected from Cass. I know somehow that she will never be able to do it, she would have at least leave a note for me or say her goodbyes.
Extern POV :
Louis was deeply thinking that he didnt feel the presence of a person who also was worried about Cassandra. He was lost in his thoughts that he didnt saw the tears that this person was shading. He thinks he was the only one who was frightened about what can happen to Cassandra but he forgot this person who havent closed her eyes since she felt that Cassandra was in danger. The person sat there for a long moment beside Louis since he can't see her, when Louis got up and rushed to the door leaving her alone. She wanted to stop him and ask him where he was going but failed to say a word ... She went upstairs to check on Louis's father and her heart ached for the view. Not having enough courage to bear it, she decided to leave the house and maybe find a way to look for her dear Cass.
