- Chapter Fifteen -
"Give it to me."
SEBASTIAN HARGREAVES WAS LOCKED IN THE SLYTHERIN BOYS DORM.As always.
Locked may have been the wrong word considering it was not at all against his will — he had chosen to seclude himself and trap himself within the confines of the stone, cold dungeons he had once inhabited himself through the years he had attended Hogwarts. Perhaps a better phrase would be to say he was hibernating in the Slytherin Dorm, waiting for the ideal time to leave, to begin his further search.
Something close to a month had passed since his arrival at Hogwarts, unenrolled and unexpected. Nothing of note had transpired, but unfortunately his dorm mates found reasons to complain or something to talk about every night, even when Sebastian trapped himself behind the velvet green curtains or his bed. According to Isaac, it was all lessons lessons lessons, not that Sebastian really cared all that much. He didn't attend, nor did he plan to.
Being present at Hogwarts was only for one thing. Information. Knowledge. Somewhere the Order could not take him from, somewhere Dumbledore loomed to answer any questions he may have, somewhere with a library that held answers to curiosities scarcely even talked about. Studying was abysmal, the meals were even worse when he was forced to sit with people around him who couldn't even begin to grasp the reality of what he had been forced into.
A new life, only to seek his sister from death.
The beginning of the October sun filtered light through the curtains that were slightly pulled to, but open enough to let the golden light through. A subtle glow of green echoed across the room, blanketing Sebastian and everything else in a soft hue of the neutral colour. Despite the light, it was a wintry breeze within the dorm; the stone walls made the chamber damp, musty and provided no warmth at all.
Sebastian didn't exactly mind. His alabaster skin had been freezing cold since the moment he woke in the water of the cave, never warming. Isaac had once flinched because of it, warning that Sebastian couldn't let anyone touch him because of the pure frost that coated him. The warmth wouldn't have pleased nor irritated him.
The same couldn't be said for Isaac Allen, who sat shivering still, even though he had pulled a thick knitted Slytherin sweater over himself upon entering the dorm. Teeth chattering, freckled cheeks flushed with a frigid nip, Isaac had made his appearance with no spoken words. Standing as though he expected Sebastian to say something, he pulled the sleeves of the sweater over his hands and stared at Sebastian's broad back.
"What?" Sebastian said simply, the piercing eyes of his ally cutting into the thick muscle of his back. He sat shirtless in front of the desk, hair messy and unbrushed, sweatpants the only thing keeping him modest.
"How are you not freezing?" Isaac chattered, shaking his head. His own hair was a little messy, courtesy of the wind upon the hills of Scotland, made worse by the weather. "And- And-"
