Good Boy, Sad Girl

It's morning, and Noah and I have plans today as well. Getting two days off has been excellent, and it gives me time to relax and not be pressured to get everything perfect.

It always gives me time to spend with Noah.

I put on a white off-the-shoulder top and jeans. I put on sneakers today because wearing heels yesterday was NOT fun.

I make my way to the coffee shop where Noah and I are supposed to meet. I order a Vanilla Coffee and sit down at a table by the window. I look at the people walking by and the cars driving by.

This would make a great picture for Instagram.

I see Noah walk by the window, and I watch as he orders his coffee.

He sits down across from me.

"Good morning!" I exclaim.

"It's not a good morning until I finish a whole cup of coffee."

"It's always a good morning when I'm here. I'm amazing." I chuckle

"I wouldn't say that" He smirks.

I roll my eyes and finish my coffee. I scroll through Instagram and see that @AniyahCollins followed me.

I gasp and feel tears prickle in my eyes. I turn my phone around and show Noah, and he looks confused.

"Who's that?" He asks.

"Aniyah Collins, she's been in like six movies within the past three years!"

"No clue who she is, but I'm happy for you."

When I get a notification that @AniyahCollins would like to send you a message, I quickly click on it and press accept.

'Good morning, excited to work with you soon.'

Work with me? She must have messaged the wrong person.

'Sorry, I think you have the wrong person. I'm working on my first movie. You wouldn't be working with me.'

'Eyes Full of Stars. They just brought me on to be your best friend in the movie.'

'I love your movies! This is such an honor.'

'Thanks! I can't wait to see the sets. I remember my first movie. It wasn't a great experience, at, it only got better and better. I would love to teach you a few things I've learned to help you on your journey.'

My face is frozen in shock. Still, Noah notices because he places a hand on my shoulder. "Are you okay?" he asks.

"Yeah, Aniyah is working with us," I say. "ANIYAH FREAKING COLLINS IS WORKING WITH US!"

Everybody in the coffee shop is staring at me. I shrink back into my chair before my flight response activates.

I quickly get up grab Noah's wrist and drag him out of the coffee shop.

"Ow, why are we leaving?"

"Because I just embarrassed myself. I just shouted in a coffee shop, and everybody was looking at me."

He chuckles, and I give him a death glare, making him laugh harder.

"So, who's Aniyah Collins?" Noah asks.

"How do you not know who Aniyah Collins is?!"

"I've just never heard of any of her movies before."

"She's an outstanding actress, and she's also the biggest actress of the year so far."

I pull up a picture of her. Aniyah is gorgeous, she has umber skin and black locs. She wears a signature dark blue lipstick most of the time.

I turn the phone around so that Noah can see,

"Wow, she's beautiful," Noah says.

"I know, she's such an amazing actress. I can't believe I get to work with her."

We ended up at a movie theater and watched a horror movie called The Backstabber.

The movie was long. Horror movies don't need to be almost three hours long.

Once the movie is over, we get up. The film is crowded, so you're rushing to escape before everybody else gets up.

As we rush to the door, our hands lightly brush, and I get startled. It felt like electricity rushed up to my arm.

He must not have noticed because he doesn't acknowledge it.

"Goodnight, see you tomorrow," I say. "I had fun. Thanks for hanging out with me today."

I hug him, and his cologne smells warm, unique, light, and refreshing

"I always have a good time whenever we spend time together." He smiles.
