Been on Wattpad for - about six months

Hello thanks for reading my interveiw with Bex/ TheLonelyFlower!

How did you come up with your username?

Well, let's just say, one sunny day when the birds was busy tweeting to each other, I was searching for a poem for my school assignment, and I found this poem called The Lonely Flower that I can totally related to myself. Since then, every time I want to make an account at a certain website, I always use TheLonelyFlower as my username.

What inspired you to start writing?

Ever since I am able to read, I started to form a reading habit. And after reading a few books, I started to wonder about how well it feels to write my own story, how well it feels to be able to express myself in the form of stories, and how well it feels to have people reading my story. So I start to write to find out the answers of those questions, and guess what? It feels great.

How did you discover wattpad?

A few month ago, in my English class, one of my friends told the whole class that she's writing a story on wattpad, so I check out her story out and ta da! I've discovered wattpad

What is your favourite chapter or story you have written?

Since I only happen to post one story on wattpad, the answer will be Searching For Maya - Chapter One. It took a lot of courage for me to post it, and for the first time, I felt proud of my writing.

Do you think you have improved your writing in the time you have been on wattpad?

Yes. I don't come from an English speaking country, so I make a lot of spelling and grammar errors, but since I have joined wattpad my skills and my vocabulary have increased eventually.

What is your favourite genre in story?

Humor, Romance, Teen Fiction, Werewolves. But if I could only pick one, I'd choose humor.

Who was your favourite childhood publisher?

Um... I'm not so sure... I think I've forgotten my favorite childhood publisher already...

What do you enjoy the most of writing stories?

What I enjoy the most from writing story is the freedom of expressing myself in it. I always have a problem of expressing myself because I'm afraid of being laughed at, I'm afraid of being judged, I'm afraid of rejection. When I write it feels like I was running, I feel like I am free, I feel fearless, that I don't have to be scared of what people think and just write whats in my mind and my heart... That's what I like about writing.

Who are your favourite characters in your story?

Maya McGuinty. Maya, in my opinion was a good figure of a sister. The kind of sister that I want to have, the kind of sister that I want to look up to, and the kind of sister that I want to be for all my siblings.

How did you choose the names for your characters?

How did I choose the characters of my story? This is a tough question... Most of the time, the names of the character just pops out in my mind as start to write my story, so I just kind of randomly write their names, except for the lead character. For the lead character usually, I look for some name thats related to the thing or person that I like. For example, my favorite poet, my favorite disney princess cartoon, etc.

Do you base your story on real life?

The inpiration does come from real life, but most of the story is too imaginative or too good to be true. So it's not completely based on real life.

Do you want your work to be published?

Maybe. I think it will be nice to have more people reading my work, but my work being published is a very serious thing, and for now, I'm not really sure whether I want to get more serious in writing or not.

What are your favourite stories on Wattpad at the moment?

"A and D", "Denied!", "My Benefactor", "Inside Your Head! Wow, it's Really Dirty in There...", "Director, Do We Have To Kiss?", "The Ivy League", "The Bucket List"

Do you get writers block? If so, how do you overcome it?

Yes, sometimes... I usually try to rest my mind for awhile or working on something else, start a new story or something like that... It usually gets me back to writing.

What do you prefer more? reading or writing?

Hmm... This is a very tough question... I want to answer both, but since it's not allowed my answer would be reading. I always enjoy reading anytime and anywhere even if I'm not really in the mood for reading anything, I will still enjoy it.

How do you come up with your ideas?

Mostly I get the ideas from books, movies, songs, some event or person in my life, my feelings, or just simply my imagination.

Who is your favourite wattpad writer at the moment?

WolfWanted

Has any of your family or friends read any of your stories?

Only my bestfriend, Billie, and one of our friends who accidentally found out about Searching For Maya has read my story...

Are you thinking of any new story right now?

Yes. Ideas keep coming into my mind, waiting for me to write them down. I'm working on a few new stories right now... All of them are ideas for romance stories which is weird because I can't write a story about romance at all due to my lack of experience in romance division.

What is the most random fact about you?

I loved making words rhyme, I used to do it all the time!
