I finally made it to the 20th chapter, which means I'm about halfway done with Penitence. This chapter is in Rick's POV. My goal is 200 votes and I'd be really happy if you all could help. Thanks and sorry for the wait!

"Why did you come here Vivian?" I ask closing my office door and mentally cursing my head of security for being under the weather.

"Leonardo left me." She says quietly.

I can tell that there is something more to her story. Vivian wouldn't just walk on Costanzo territory after being dumped by Leonardo. He wouldn't let her live. She knows too much and even if he did Nicoli would beat the information out of her.

"That doesn't explain why you showed up here. This is the last place you would think to come. You know that the Costanzo's aren't going to help you and my loyalty lies with them." I  point out.

She thinks carefully before explaining, "Anderson is Leonardo's right hand man now. He left the apartment a couple of days ago to surrender and he has been providing Leonardo with information on how to kidnap Nina."

"So Nina has been at the apartment by herself? I knew that we shouldn't have given Anderson that task." I state angrily.

It was my father's stupid idea. I volunteered to watch after Nina, but my dad insisted that I work with the Costanzo's. Ever since I was a little boy, my father has had this weird obsession with the Italian Mafia. When he found out that his best friend was apart of the mob, he was so excited. Personally, I believe that my father thinks that we will become apart of the mob if we aid them.

"It's been about three days. Leonardo plans to go get her soon. It might be today, tomorrow, or next week." She says nonchalantly.

Her attitude causes me to become even angrier. If she knew this three days ago, she should have given us a call. Instead, she brought her gold digging self down here thinking that I was going to help her.

"Costanzo, we need to go get Nina. Leonardo plans on kidnapping her and Anderson is aiding him." I state, hanging up before he can ask any questions.

"Jerome escort Mrs. Holter to one of the isolated rooms and make sure that someone is watching her at all times." I say smirking.

Vivian thinks that she can come in here, tell me some information, and I'll let her go with guaranteed protection. Who knows what she has seen while sitting in my office? On the outside she seems like an innocent middle aged beauty, but on the inside she is a conniving, dysfunctional, old woman.

I walk out of the building and see the Costanzo brothers waiting for me. Thankfully, my father isn't with them. If he was, he would question the information I gave Nicoli and then he would chastise me for listening to Vivian.

"May I ask where you got this information from?" Sergio asks loud enough for only me to hear.
