Okay so in case any of you are confused, right now its been about three months since Nina and Anderson got together. Anywayyy... this chapter is in Lizzie's POV 》The girl in the multimedia is Liz.
I don't know what game Nina is trying to play, but she needs to stop. Anderson has been nothing but faithful to her. She has an amazing family and she has so many people that love her. She's so ungrateful.
Now I have to sit here and pretend like I'm worried about her
In the end, Anderson will leave her for me. Then she will realize her loss and try to come back to beg for forgiveness. By that time Andy will be in love with me and Nina will hate me. Life will be good.
"Lizzie I have someone I want you to meet.", Neon says pulling me towards a tall blonde man.
A fake smile spreads across my face as I'm introduced to one of Neon's many business partners.
They start to talk about expanding the business, so I tune them out. I don't know why Neon even bothers to introduce me to people. It's not like they try to start a conversation with me.
"Baby, I know you're worried about Nina. Is there anything I can do to help?" He asks.
Nina this. Nina that. Who cares about Nina?
"She's my best friend. Do you expect me to be calm?" I yell.
Five years of acting school has really paid off.
"Stay here and cool off while I go get you a drink. Okay?" He says leading me to a vacant seat.
I swear Neon is so dumb. He really thinks I care about him and Nina. Wrong. As soon as everything works out, he's going bye bye.
Sure he gives me nice things and money, but love costs way more than that. I love Anderson and soon he'll love me too.
Another song starts to play and the people dance again. Even though the fight took place, Neon's is still the best.
I take out my phone and start to play Candy Crush. Neon still hasn't returned and he probably won't. Not that I care. That just means more alone time.
"Hey, I overheard you saying that Nina was your best friend." A guy says warily.
"Yes what do you want to know." I ask already knowing what it is.
"Im scared she's going to get hurt. The guy that came in here was really crazy." He says.
My blood starts to boil. The only reason he went crazy was because you were all over his woman.
"Anderson would never hurt Nina. He was probably just stressed from work and was expecting to see his girlfriend at home." I say politely.
"I still don't feel comfortable with them together." He says.
Why is this any of his concern. He just met Nina.
"Okay well how about I give you her address." I say smiling.
"That would be cool." He replies.
I see Neon heading our way and I panic. He doesn't need to know about this.
"Meet me at Mary's Cafe in an hour." I say shooing him off.
"What was that about?" Neon asks approaching me.
"I was just having a conversation with the guy Nina was with earlier." I say nonchalantly.
"Did you threaten him?" He asks laughing.
"No I did not. Did you pick up any girls on the way back from the bar?" I retort.
"Why do you have to be like this Liz. We used to have so much fun together." He sighs.
"People change." I grab the drink from his hand.
"Look, I love you and I know we have fallen apart, but I need this to work." He says taking my hand.
I look away. If only he could realize that I don't love him. I never did. I was just lonely and looking for attention when we got together.
"I'm going home. Call me when you get to your place so that I can make sure you're safe." I say handing him the drink.
I walk away before he can give me a kiss. I'm tired of faking my love for him. Hopefully, my plan will work out and I'll be able to leave him.
In the meantime, the first pawn in my game is waiting for me two blocks away.
