Risha's POV

It’s been a week since my two best friends and my idiot brother left for Bangalore. Honestly, I miss them so much. Ever since we became friends during childhood, we’ve been inseparable. And to be honest, I don’t even remember the exact day or any particular incident when we became friends. It just… happened. From playschool to school, from coaching classes to family functions and birthday parties—we four have always been together.

But today, I’m thrilled because I finally have good news. I got a scholarship at their college—wait, correction—my college now! And this means I can join them again!

Today’s the day I’ll see them after so long. But there’s something even more special about today—I’m finally going to meet my long-distance best friend, Hridya. For the very first time! That’s what makes today extra special.

Hridya and I connected randomly online. I saw one of her classical dance reels on Instagram, and oh my god, she was amazing. I couldn’t resist texting her to praise her talent, and she replied. From there, we started talking, and the rest, as they say, is history. Over time, we grew so close that she became one of my best friends. And guess what? She has no idea that I got admission to her college. I’m going to surprise her!

And the icing on the cake? I’ll introduce her to my other best friends. I’m sure they’ll love her as much as I do.

“Madam ji, hum pahunch gaye!” [Ma’am, we’ve arrived!] the taxi driver’s voice pulled me out of my thoughts as we reached the university.

Yes, I’m in Bangalore. Finally! Oh my god, I’m screaming internally. I’ve always dreamed of pursuing journalism here, and now it feels like a dream come true.

“Arre madam, neeche utariye, mujhe aur jagah bhi jaana hai!” [Ma’am, please get down, I have other places to go!] the driver called out again, snapping me back to reality.

I quickly stepped out of the taxi, awkwardly smiling at him as I paid the fare. He drove off, leaving me standing in front of the gates of Radiant National University.

I turned towards the massive campus, and my jaw dropped. The university was so grand, so huge—it felt surreal. The campus buildings stood tall and magnificent, buzzing with life and energy.
