"Right Niall, time to go," A crew member said as they clapped their hands, but Niall didn't move. "Curtain's up in 10, let's go," They said as they shook Niall's shoulder. Niall's body moved, but the Irishman didn't show any signs of stirring. "Niall," The crew member said again as they shook him.
"Julian wants to do a quick soundcheck, he's worried that the rain has affected the equipment," David, Niall's drummer, said as he arrived. "Niall's well rested."
"He is, but I'm struggling to wake him up."
"Niall, let's go buddy," David said as he shook Niall's knee.
"Niall. Show's starting."
"Has he taken a sleeping pill or something?"
"Nothing that I'm aware of."
"Ok. Niall, you need to wake up. Niall," David called loudly as he crouched beside Niall and shook him. "Has he taken anything? Alcohol or drugs?" David asked as he was starting to get worried.
"He had a beer a few hours ago, that's all I know."
"Niall? I think we need to get the medic. He's normally buzzing before a show."
"Ok," The crew member said before they went off to find them. David put his fingers on Niall's neck to take his pulse.
"Niall? Can you hear me?" David asked in a loud voice.
"What's wrong?" John asked as he came over.
"We can't wake Niall up. Did you notice him taking anything today?"
"Nothing outside of a few beers over lunch. How's his pulse?"
"It seems to be a little slow. We've got the medic on their way."
"I'll go and ask them to postpone the show."
"Thanks John," David said before he put his hand in front of Niall's mouth.
"When did he lose consciousness?" Emily, the medic, asked as she arrived.
"About an hour ago. He said he was going to have a nap, but now we can't wake him up. His pulse seems to be a little slow, but he's breathing ok."
"Ok, thanks David," Emily said before she put a blood pressure cuff around Niall's arm. As she took a reading, she tested Niall's pupils. "Niall? Can you hear me?" She asked loudly.
No response.
"He had some alcohol over lunch, and we don't think that he's taken any drugs."
"Is he on any medication?"
"Not that I'm aware of."
"Ok. 40 over 90," Emily said as she looked at the monitor. "His blood pressure's low. Can you help me to lie him on the ground?"
"Of course," David said, and they put Niall into the recovery position.

"The show's postponed, how is he?" John asked as he returned.
"He's definitely unconscious, and we might have to get him to a hospital."
"Is it that serious?"
"We're not getting any response from him. He currently has a GCS of 4."
"Shit."
"His heart rate's falling. David, can you call an ambulance?"
"Yes," David said as he got out his phone.
"We have to cancel the show. I'll sort it."
"Thanks John. Ambulance please," David said as John left.

"Hello everyone," John said as he came onto the stage in front of the curtain. The crowd cheered and clapped, but some people talked amongst each other anxiously. "I'm afraid that there has been an incident backstage, and Niall is unable to perform."
Some of the crowd booed, but John continued.
"Myself and the band are ready, so either we cancel the show or we can perform the setlist while Niall gets treated."
"Is he ok!"
"What happened!"
"Where's Niall!" The crowd shouted.
"Niall's getting medical attention. He is unable to perform for you tonight."
"Band! Band! Band!" The crowd cheered and John made his decision. An ambulance arrived quickly and blue lighted to hospital with Niall's heart rate falling with every minute that passed. The band performed for the crowd, and at the end of the show, they apologised again for Niall's absence, and told them that Niall would have performed if he had been well enough.

An ambulance was seen blue lighting from the stadium that Niall was due to perform at last night. His band explained to the crowd that Niall was unable to perform as he was getting medical treatment after an incident backstage. The news came just 10 minutes before Niall was due to take to the stage, and his band went on to perform Niall's concert without the singer.
