We didn't even see them during the first attacks. Only their planes appeared. Dark triangular monsters descended over the cities, the purpose of which we did not know at first.

These larger dark triangular planes could fly towards their targets in complete safety. Wherever they appeared, a yellowish-brown mist enveloped the cities.

The aliens intended this strike for us alone. It did no harm to anyone but us.

The victims died in terrible agony: the poison's victims first felt suffocation, which grew stronger and stronger. As the victim choked, tears gushed from his eyes, soon to be replaced by greenish blood.

All six limbs go completely rigid. Finally, in terrible pain, the chest explodes. What remains of the body falls to the ground in a torso.

Yet there were those who survived. I am one of them. But the survivors were not safe. There was nothing left on the surface but rubble and dead earth.

No one knew the exact extent of the destruction, but from my experience I can say that five out of ten were immune to the poison. The aliens were not satisfied with even that much destruction.

Soon, another weapon was deployed, which dwarfed everything else.

After that, the survivors instinctively gathered in what they thought was an even safer underground city. Only the bravest ventured to the surface. Cities where life once existed were soon deserted.

The once safe green skies were dominated by alien machines. Our world, once a place of life, is now a nest of enemies.

But life underground was no longer sustainable, yet many still had hope. But the lack of food and water forced those with strength and endurance to the surface from time to time.

One morning, I said goodbye to the rest of my family and set out to get supplies. I climbed to the surface that fateful morning.
