Peridot: The Lars! The Lars! We got a major issue!
As Lars was walking over to the barn, he saw Peridot panicking with a passed out Steven on the ground beside her as she ran to Lars and grabbed his leg. He only just got off work and after walking around the town for a bit to pick up groceries for himself in his residence, he is greeted with this?
Lars would sigh and look down at Peridot.
Lars: What happened now?
Peridot: The Crystal Clods when to face Jasper and Lazuli fusion on a island and Steven had went to hibernation and left me behind!
Lars: Hibernation...?
Peridot: Apparently! What are we suppose to do? The Cluster is about to form at ANY moment!
Rubbing his eyes as he would shake his head, He would like to leave it to the Gems to deal with this trouble since getting too involve with them would just leave any of his free time being stuck with more trouble that will lead to even more trouble... But he got this far, Best to see it through.
Lars: Stay and prepare the drill, once I deal with the fusion, you will be given the task to ensure you're and Steven travel down to the Cluster will be a safe trip.
Peridot: Task? Why only us two?!
She look at the drill then realize... The escape pod was way to small for Lars and the gems would be busy, leaving only her and Steven as she groans but nod...
Peridot: Very well... But do come back safe or else we all are dead.
With that said and the task given, Lars would walk off with his hands in his pocket, making way to the warp-pad as he pull out a tablet, swiping through a note pad app and internet search's, he would open the Warp access terminal as he inspects the recent uses of the warp pad and the coordinates.
He was able to make a easy access warp history from his time understanding out the Warp pad worked when he was 'fixing' the escape pod.
Lars: The island where Warcher people lives, Huh.
[Soon After]
Lars stood at the edge of the cliff, staring down at the island below. The place looked like it had been peaceful once, with green trees and soft sand covering its surface. Now, it was a battleground. Two massive fusions clashed in the center, shaking the ground with each hit. He could hear the distant sounds of their attacks, like thunder rolling across the island.
It wasn't hard to figure out who the enemy was. One of them launched breathed of fire from their second mouth, while the other controlled waves of water, crashing them into her opponent. Their gems gave them away too... One's placement matched the Crystal Gems, while the other had the unmistakable marks of Jasper and Lapis.
Lars took a slow, steady breath. He raised his hand, and the familiar weight of his bow appeared. He pulled back the string, and a sword-shaped arrow began to form, its edges shimmering faintly as it solidified. The energy flowing through him felt like a low hum. The air around him grew heavy, like the moment before a storm arising.
He narrowed his eyes, lining up his shot. There was no room for mistakes.
Lars: Let's see the result of my training...
The thought echoed in his mind as he focused, drawing in a sharp breath. Then, with a smooth motion, he released the string. The arrow soared through the air, a streak of red light cutting across the battlefield.
Lars had never wasted time. Between his apartment and the barn, he'd been focused on building both his body and his magical abilities. He trained his muscles for strength, but more importantly, he worked on controlling his mana and expanding his circuits to hold more power. His magic had grown stronger, more refined like in his previous life, chained by the Counter Force.
As the fusion of Jasper and Lapis raised her massive hand, ready to crush the head of the Crystal Gems' fusion, the arrow struck. It hit with pinpoint accuracy, igniting on contact. Flames erupted, engulfing the upper half of the fusion in fire. A scream tore through the air as the giant staggered, thrown off balance by the attack.
The fire consumed the fused Crystal Gem's upper body, roaring with intensity. The fusion staggered back, screaming in pain as the flames spread, threatening to completely overwhelm them. The water-based fusion reacted quickly, summoning waves to douse the flames, but the water had no effect. The fire burned hotter, refusing to be extinguished.
He didn't need to do anything more. He had used an arrow with a special property, a unique enchantment that made it more than just a weapon.
The flames kept building, fueled by the magic in Lars' arrow, until...
When the flames came into contact with any substance of water, instead of being extinguished, the fire would trigger a final reaction. The water, unable to contain the inferno, would feed the flames, causing them to burn even hotter, reaching their critical point.
Lars would make his way back to the wrap pad without looking to see the reaction as he shut his eyes and went through the warp pad.
Meanwhile back on Mask Island... The fire erupted into a brilliant flash of light, then evaporated just as quickly. The fused Gems were no more, the explosion leaving nothing but a cloud of smoke and the sound of the gem form bursting and returning back into their gems as the crystal gems fusion would of been affected slightly, burning the face and upper torso from the explosion but nothing serious due to Garnet resistance to flames.
The ground began to rumble and shake, the Cluster was about to be release within a short time, they don't have much time left but as for Lars... He would leave it up to Peridot and Steven who would soon wake up and get into the drill and head straight to the core to stop the Cluster.
