Chapter 15

Indiana's POV:

~2 Weeks later~

My breath was still shaky since I woken up. My body aching and my head banging. I close my eyes lightly and open them up to the usual bright light of the hospital.

"Indiana I want you to blink once if you can hear me" the nurse shouted over

I closed my eyes once opening it again,closing it and opening it once more to see a slight smile of her face.

"There you go" she sighed excitingly "Your doing well Indiana stay strong, you have visitors waiting for you" she shouts like I'm deaf walking away leaving me staring at the ceiling once again

She then returns as I hear her press a button. The bed is shifted and where my pillow is being brought up, moving me away from the ceiling. I was faced a window showing me the outside of the hospital.

"Baby" I hear my mums sighs

I smile, I haven't seen her in ages. She smiles back taking a seat besides me.

"How are you feeling?" She asks rubbing my arm in comfort

I flinch of her touch in pain. She looks at me with sad eyes. My whole body was aching and since I felt uncomfortable anyone touching me. I was almost... Paranoid.

"I'm sorry" she whispers her eyes teary

I slowly reach up for my oxygen mask pulling it away from my face. My breath still shaken and I drop my arm on the bed. She looks at me worried about me without my mask.

"I'm ok" I whisper

"I almost lost you once I cant take that risk" she whispers

I nod lightly bringing the mask to my self and tightening it around my head.

"I'll do the talking" she suggest laughing

I missed her so much. I didn't notice how much I needed a mum around. The doctor walks in with Alex and Chloe behind. They looked like a pile of cat shit. There eyes watery and red. There skin pale and dry. Lifeless. They pull a small smile taking a seat on the seats.

"Oh my-"

Alex came running towards me and I flinched attaching my weak body to the back of the bed with my legs to the edge. She stops at her tracks looking at me sadly. Her lips tremble and I feel bad. I close my eyes knowing however much I wanted to touch someone... Anyone. I couldn't get myself to do that.

Those men damaged me.

She took a seat backing away from me.

"Could I talk to Indiana alone or-" the doctor was interrupted by my mum

"We need to know her progress" she interrupted me "please, proceed" she said pointing to the clip board

"I'm afraid to say the major obvious your unborn child was also killed during the incident" the doctors words came out

The worlds felt like it was all in slow motion. I was too much in my own world I didn't even notice anything after those words out of his mouth. My mum looks at me confusingly looking back at the doctor. She stands up and starts to speak but I can't hear what she's saying.
