Jack looked at his mother's photo hanging high in the dojo. "Hello?" A voice called out. Jack turned to face a girl looking around at the dojo. Jack furrowed his brows placing his hands behind his back. "Hey, can I help you?" Jack voiced. "Heard you were looking for students...I thought I'd give it a try." She answered. "Well. Come on in. Remove your shoes first though." Jack voiced. "My shoes?" She asked. "Yeah. It's a sign of respect and I don't feel like being kicked by combat boots." Jack stated.

The girl chuckled before lowering herself and removing her boots. "Name's Jack." He introduced offering a hand to her. "Ava." She stated taking the hand and shaking it. "Okay, so let's start with some basics. Try spreading your legs a bit." Jack voiced.

"That's a bit forward, don't you think? At least get to know me a bit." Ava said with a smirk. Jack let out a cough before smiling. "That's not what I meant." Jack said blushing slightly.

"I'm teasing, ya bloody fool." Jack narrowed his eyes, and crossed his arms. "You're not from here, are you?" Jack questioned. "Nope. I just moved down here a few days ago. From Oxford, England." She answered. "How could ya tell? Psychic?" She questioned. "Something like that." Jack answered shooting her a smile.

A couple of hours passed by as the two sparred against one another. Jack sat beside Ava sweating bullets just as much as she was. "You know...you're really good." Jack panted. "Well...I may have forgotten to mention I took some jujitsu over in England. I want to join your dojo, Jack." Ava sounded.

"Consider yourself a new member, because damn, Ava...you know how to kick some serious ass." Jack said chuckling getting a laugh out of Ava.

"Hey, Jack! You here?" A voice called out. Jack turned to see his dad walk into the building looking at some papers in his hand. "Over here!" Jack answered. His father turned the corner to find Jack sitting next to Ava. "Hey—oh...uh...who's this?" He asked. "Meet...our first ever student of the Green Dragons." Jack said with a smile.

His father smiled with a glee. "That's great!" His dad exclaimed giving his son a hug. "Damn...kid...take a shower." His dad said revolted by the smell. "Hey...that's the smell of a nice workout and successfully acquiring a new student. Get used to it." Jack yelled as his father walked away. "Yeah yeah." His father said entering his office. Jack turned to Ava and laughed.

"Was that—" She started. "My father." "A Sekai Taikai champion?" Ava finished. Jack furrowed his brows. "How did you-" Jack started. "Your father is a three-time-world champion of the Sekai Taikai, Jack. He's a legend." Ava said rising to her feet.

Jack look at his father's office. "Yeah...he was amazing. Still is." Jack said softly thinking of his family.
