A/N: I'm sorry to change the idea so much, I just found it uncomfortable while trying to write, I hope you still like it!

You and Taylor decided together that you'd start a strict diet, and instead of filling the fridge with junk food, it was filled with healthy snacks.

It was going well until you were three months in the diet when you couldn't help yourself at the store. Suddenly thankful that you were alone on this trip, you had spotted your favorite candy bar.

Feeling a tad bit guilty, you slipped the candy bar into your cart and carried on with the rest of your groceries. Your original plan was to eat it on the way home, but decided against it when you remembered the last time, what happened when you did that. What happened was that you were munching on your (f/c/b) during the ride home when a cop pulls you over, mistaking your treat as a cell phone. He was kind enough to let you off with a warning, not writing you up for a ticket or anything. Before starting your car, you stash the candy away in the glovebox and drove away from the store's parking lot.

Once home, you were expecting for the home you shared with Taylor. You and Taylor had been married for five years now and though the relationship wasn't by any means perfect, you were both still very much in love, and neither of you could ask for any better than for each other. After parking in your driveway, you leave it with everything you brought home, everything except the candy bar. Eventually, you had forgotten about it until a few days later, Taylor was having some car issues and asked to borrow yours, needing to go do some work at the studio.

Of course you said yes and handed over the keys without even a thought.

"Just be careful, okay?" you say as Taylor embraces you before heading out.

"Always am."

She responds, stepping outside and closing the door behind her.

You hear the car turn on, and you expected for it to pull away any minute now. But that sound never came, instead, you hear the sound of Taylor's high heels clicking the ground below her before she storms inside.

Taylor's sudden reappearance takes you by surprise. Just as you were about to ask what was going on, she holds up the candy you had forgotten about.

"I forgot about that.." you mutter quietly, but Taylor easily heard it.

"Have you not been sticking to our plan this whole time, (Y/n)?" she asked in a stern and scolding tone.

It was a tone you rarely hear coming from her, but it was one you didn't like to hear.

"No. I promise I haven't!"

"What was this doing in the car, than?"

Just by the expression on her face, you could tell that she didn't believe one word of what you've just said.

"How do you explain this than?"

It was almost like getting in trouble with your parents after they catch you trying to sneak a cigarette away and smoke while underage.

"Taylor, I really mean it! The other day I went grocery shopping and I had a sudden craving of it and I couldn't fight it away. I haven't had one of those since we started sticking to our diet plan."

Taylor sighs almost miserably, pinching the bridge of her nose in frustration as you continued to wait  for her to say something. When she did, she made a suggestion that made you remaining still and silent. It was blindsiding. Out of the stress she had been holding back, she used this time to lash out. Not intentionally of course, just out of pure stress.

"I thought we talked about this, (Y/n)!"

"We did!"

"Than what is going on? This better be good."

"Taylor! I've already told you!"

"That's your story? You're sticking to it?"

"Yes."

"I see.."

It was crystal clear that she didn't believe a word from you.

For the first time in a while, Taylor started to doubt this relationship. She couldn't help but feel if you're not telling her the truth, were you cheating on her as well? Of course you weren't, that part of it is true. The atmosphere becomes intense as you feel intentional fill the space between you. Having nothing more to say, you sit there, trying to comprehend the situation and wondered how much further this would go. What she suggested next, was what caused you to breakdown almost immediately.

"Maybe we should break up, take a break from each other.."

Your vision blurs when she ever so softly suggests that. Breaking up and/or wanting a divorce was not what you wanted. Finally, you were able to form some words and responded in a way that got Taylor's attention right away. Taylor rushes towards you and pulls you in her comforting embrace, in her arms is the place where you feel the safest.

Taylor holds onto you tightly, muttering apologies and sweet nothings to you, as your head resting on her chest. Once Taylor can sense that you've gotten a hold of yourself, she starts talking to you, pulling you away. Just far enough where she's able to hold your face in her hands, wiped away the tears falling down your cheeks.

"Shoot, (Y/n). I'm so sorry, I didn't mean that."

"It's-"

"It's not okay, (Y/n). Don't even try to say that. I wasn't really mad at you, not at all. It's just been a long week for me at work and it's taking a toll on my stress levels. That's a lame excuse, but it's true. It still doesn't make it right for me to have lashed out at you like that."

"I understand, Taylor. But I agree that it doesn't what just happened any better and it never will."

"Good, I'm glad you understand."

"Don't you have somewhere to be?" you casually ask.

"I do. Not anymore though, because I'm going to let them know I won't be able to show up today and reschedule for tomorrow."

"But-"

"Don't try to talk me out of it, because you won't. Now why don't we settle down for the rest of the day and watch some movies?"

Well, you couldn't say "no" to that.

So you agreed.

Before going to pick the first movie, Taylor stops you.

"Hey, do you wanna split this with me?" she asks.

Confused of what she was asking, you turn around and see her holding up your candy that she brought back inside.

You were hesitant at first.

"I thought we were on a diet together?"

"We are, but I've just decided that it's okay for us to have a treat every once in a while."

"I like the idea! Count me in on that!"

Taylor's chuckle fills the room, feeling as though nothing had ever happened.

If anything were to come out of this, it was the fact that the little misunderstanding brought you closer together, stronger than ever before, and ignited the spark of happiness that was within you both.

It was awe inspiring.
