A/N: This chapter will be a x male reader, it's not something I would usually write but I'm really up to see what I can make of this request!

When you had made it to the gala, you were trying to prepare and brace yourself to face the fact you would be running to an ex girlfriend of yours.
Not just an ex girlfriend, but Taylor Swift. You especially weren't expecting to have a run in encounter with Kanye West and Kim. You were a really famous and successful actor, and you loved what you do.
When you had made it to the gala, you couldn't help but think back a few years earlier when you were attending this for the first time. It was at that time that you got the opportunity to meet Taylor Swift. You both kept a steady relationship for two years before calling it quits. It had nothing to do with anything either of you could have done to intentionally hurt the other. It was more on the fact that due to your busy schedules, you hardly had time for each other and both agreed that it wasn't fair for either of you to keep this going.
Ending things on a good note was all that mattered, and just wanting for each other to be happy.
You were here for an award as well, just like Taylor was. What you didn't expect to see was Kanye West and you don't know what it was, but you had a gut feeling that there was something about Kanye you didn't like, being near him made you feel uneasy. Because of this feeling, you started feeling protective of Taylor, almost as if you were her body guard rather than her ex boyfriend. What your gut was telling you was to get as far away from Kanye as you possibly can and stay there. It didn't matter if you and Taylor were no longer together, you can't help but feel protective of her.
After accepting your award, you decided to stick around a bit longer. It's come to realization that you were right to do that, as Taylor was trying to give a little speech, Kanye suddenly showed up and took the microphone from her hand before speaking into it.
"Thank you so much for giving me the chance to win a VMA award-"
Taylor is interrupted and what happens next has you livid.
"Yo, Taylor! I'm really happy for you, I'll let you finish but Beyonce has one of the best music videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time!"
As the applauds turn into booing, you felt your heart drop seeing the look on Taylor's face, she was absolutely and completely devastated by what just happened.
Though broken up, you had been the one to stand by Taylor and that's exactly what you're going to do in this very moment. However, you went after Kanye before going to be with Taylor and it all happened so fast. You were literally chasing the man towards the main exit of the building before using your strength to pin him down. Once you feel you've dealt with him enough, you turn and go back to where Taylor was. Taylor was clearly upset, but she smiled huge when she saw you approaching her. As you both sit together, it's silent for a few minutes before Taylor begins asking how you've been while you comfort her the best you can.
It broke your heart to having to hear what she says next. Taylor tells you that she believed the crowd was booing at her, not Kanye. It wasn't easy, but you managed to help reassure her that wasn't the case at all.
"I promise, Taylor. No one was booing at you, they were booing at Kanye... so was I."
After the two of you started talking, you couldn't stop.
In fact, you don't stop until it had come to you how late it's getting. Just as you were about to stand up and leave, Taylor stops you and asks you out, you weren't certain at first.
But eventually, you give in.
"Would you like to go with me for some coffee at Starbucks?" Taylor asks sweetly.
"Really?"
"Of course!"
"I'd love to, than!"
Not long after your coffee date, you grew close against as you once were.
You've become attached to each other like glue, it was like this for a while. Eventually, you end up back together.
Once again, given the title boyfriend and girlfriend.
