"I was waiting for you Mr Rajput," The principal stood from his seat to greet us when we entered the Principal's office. My brother simply nodded his head greeting him in return. We took a seat on the visitor's chair."As Mr Atharyu is Maheer's Guardian, but because he is busy and couldn't come.", his eyes darted towards me and there was a curiosity in his eyes. "Since you are also family it won't be a problem." He forwarded a few documents in my brother's direction. He read the documents carefully and signed them one by one but he came to a halt, "How can she pass a test without taking it?" Aditya Bhai asks raising an eyebrow.
"Mr Atharyu said she doesn't need-" My brother cuts him in between, "He won't mind. She will follow the rules and will surely give the test".
The Principal nodded reluctantly and gave orders on the telephone to do the preparation. After a few minutes, a woman entered the office and I was asked to follow her. She took me to a classroom where a teacher was already present. I settled down on the only chair placed for me.
"I am Neha Tyagi, and you have one hour to complete the test." She said with a smile on her face.
I am average when it comes to studies so I am very nervous right now. What if I fail the test? I will be so ashamed at the sight of my brothers.
Taking deep breaths I tried to calm my fast-beating heart and opened the question paper.
After some time....
Right now I am on question No.91,
"The area of quadrilateral ABCD where A(0,4,1), B(2,3,-1), C-"
"Times up"
My head snap-in the direction of Ms Tyagi, how can the time be up, when I am still left with 9 questions?
She moves towards me and I unwillingly hand my answer sheet to her.
Tears prick in my eyes, and the possibility of disappointing them lingers heavily on my chest.
The same woman dropped me in the waiting area outside the Principal's office, saying that they will call me shortly. There was no one present there. So I started moving around and stood near a huge glass window that overlooks the ground.
There were some boys playing football. One of them was running ahead, kicking the ball and others were jogging behind, to stop him. But finally, he kicked the ball towards the net causing some cheerful screams.
I don't know anything about the game but it was interesting watching them. Whatever helps me deflect negative thoughts.
The same guy who did the goal walked closer in my direction making his face a little clear to me. He then turned his back towards me. Allowing me to read,
V.R.S
Written on the back of his jersey. I know that the next time I see him I can easily identify him. It is hard to miss this perfection of god.
