Maheer never thought that a time would come when a boy would occupy her thoughts. Not just any boy but the person whose mere thought could take her breath away.
"Mahi" Kavya shook her shoulder, breaking her trance.
"Where are you lost"
Shaking her head in no, Maheer continues to eat her lunch sitting in the canteen with her friends.
Her eyes wandered to the entrance of the canteen from where the person who was responsible for her plight was entering.
A girl blocks his path making him halt at his steps. She said something to him that was not audible to Maheer. Unknowingly Maheer's hand clenched, not liking this interaction.
She unwillingly averted her gaze to her food. But suddenly she heard a loud thud and several gasps. Looking up she saw Samrat and Kavya's mouths and eyes wide open. She turned to look at where everyone's gaze was fixed and Maheer mirrored the expression of everyone.
She saw the same girl's butt kissing the ground and Veeransh being oblivious to the situation continued to move towards his destination.
"How did she fall? Did your brother deliberately push her?" Kavya chimed curiously. Maheer's head immediately snapped at her friends. Whose brother? She thought to herself.
Meanwhile few girls help her stand up.
"My brother may not like Tanya but he will not do such a thing," Samrat said defensively.
"Is Veeransh your brother?" Maheer asked. Samrat looked at her nodding.
"He is my cousin brother."
Maheer nervously fidgeted her finger still trying to process the newly found information.
Her crush is her best friend's brother.
When Maheer's eye clashes with Kavya. Her face has the look of teasing.
"How do you know my brother's name?" Samrat chirped because Maheer was a new admission and she barely knew her classmates.
"She knows because your brother is giving her maths classes," The teasing tone is not missed by the other two.
Samrat looked between both the girls on the table confused, "Okay, but is there something else that i don't know?"
"Nothing," Maheer interjected not letting Kavya speak and threw a warning glare at her. When Maheer told Kavya that Veeransh was teaching her, since then she was teasing her and shipping both of them.
Forbidden things have a different charm. The more you resist, the more you are attracted to that. Similarly, Maheer is attracted to him. Though she knows how much risk this action of hers involves but she wants to take the chance and taste the thrill.
Seeing Veeransh's oblivious behavior towards other girls but he is willingly getting involved with Maheer. The thought made Maheer feel butterfly in her stomach. And about Tanya's incident, Samrat said his brother won't wrong any women deliberately. That made Maheer's resolve stronger to meet of him after lunch.
