Varric Tethras was writing before going on to what seemed to be his last adventure, trying to stop a dear friend of him.

The writing goes like this:
—————————
As always, one step closer to chaos. My friend... I knew him as Solas. Smart, thoughtful, loved to hear himself talk. But long ago, he had a different name. The Dread Wolf. Ancient Elven God of Lies, or Hero against the tyrants, depending on which story you believe.

In his desperate fight against the corrupted Elven Gods, Solas imprisoned them creating a Veil that splits our world from the raw Magic of the Fade

He had won... but the Veil cost most of the elves everything: their magic, their freedom, some even their immortality.
Now, after what happened in the war against Corypheus, Solas wants to tear down the Veil and revert what he made ages ago... even if that means massively releasing destructive spirits into this world.

Somebody's gotta stop him... and that's where she comes in.

During our travels with the Inquisition, that remained as a strongarm of the Chantry under the New Divine, i found one of a few ancient elves that didn't aged over time. She was a Dark Elf  Assassin with martial prowess and Shaman Warrior powers. Her name is Pirotess, although she also is known as Sheru.

Her story is

Her story is....complicated.
She is a Dark Elf from Marno, according to her, a nation with people as bad as Tevinter Magistrates, and that's saying something. There was a conflict called the War of the Destroyer's Resurrection... just another Blood Mage's's silly war, if you ask me. She and her beloved, the Black Knight Ashram fled the battle in search of new lands.

Unfortunately for them, their journey to Crystania was derailed and their sailing led them straight into a scuffle between the Antaam Qunari Dreadnaught and Tevinter ships that thought the Black Knight's vessels were assisting the other, so a threeway  fight ensued in which both the Qunari and the Black Knight's vessels defeated.

To the victor goes the spoils, as they say. Some Tevinter God-magistrate called Barbas took Pirotess as slave as the man killed  and possessed her beloved Ashram with a Blood Magic ritual right in front of her.
Sometime later, she orchestrated an escape with the help of a Tevinter group called the Shadow Dragons who wanted to rid Tevinter from people like that magistrate. She joined the Shadow Dragons in order to fight the wrongs of Minrathous and avenge herself from the Magister.

Her vengeance against the Magister Barbas came into fruition when she unlocked her Dark Elf power, summoning a Spirit of Valor with Ashram's memories and defeated the God-Magister to rescue a lot of Dark Elves from cultist's captivity. Unfortunately for her, that raised the eyebrows of several members of the Magisterium and the Shadow Dragons were forced to sent Pirotess to the south.

Before that, i met Pirotess while she was fighting against a high ranked Venatori who became a Pride Abomination while fighting the Inquisition's forces.

The girl shows remarkable determination of finishing up her missions, but she lack some team playing. She also has strong sense of sacrifice, but she is also cold to others as she is kinda like of a lone wolf , befriending and making temporary allies as long as her current mission applies.

Her determination reminded me of Lady Inquisitor and her way of doing things reminds me of my old friend Hawke, The Champion of Kirkwall. She's the perfect match for someone as Solas.

Varrick then stopped writing and says to Pirotess "Well... let's go save the world and write a good serial about it afterwards". Pirotess replies while taking a book with him "I never stopped reading some serials of yours. Mainly the Tale of the Champion and Swords & Shields."

Pirotess then says "The protagonists of both stories

Pirotess then says "The protagonists of both stories... the Knight Captain... it looks like they're one and the same". Varrick replies "You have a pretty good eye. That's what i like about you"
Then Scout Harding appears and says "And she's the recently appointed Viscount of Kirkwall", Varrick says to Pirotess "She'd like you, Sheru"

Pirotess says "That's not my name anymore", Harding says "Very blunt for a rookie", Pirotess then says "Then you should call me Rook"
Varrick then says "Welcome to the Veilguard, Rook"

The last mision of the Inquisition was about to begin.
