"Well that was fucking weird.", Alecto said as she and her friends left the Headmistress's office and walked to their last class of the day. Zach nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, that Brother Blood fucker was more of a bitch than my cousin.", the blue eyed boy said. Jonah raised an eyebrow at him.

"I thought no one was more of a bitch than your cousin?", he asked. Neither he nor Alecto had met the girl themselves, but they had heard enough about her to know that she was a real piece of work. Zach snorted dryly.

"Yeah, I thought so too.", the black haired boy responded. Alecto scowled.

"Whatever the case is, he's bad news. When have you two ever known the Headmistress to leave so suddenly? Or to leave period. Something is seriously wrong here, and what's worse, I think Brother Blood tried to mess with us psychically earlier.", Alecto revealed, and both the boys turned and looked at her in shock.

"What?!", they exclaimed in unison. Alecto nodded in confirmation.

"Yeah. You two may not have noticed it, but I have an extremely sensitive mind, so I could tell that someone was trying to get in my head when we were talking to Brother Blood.", the blue haired girl elaborated. Jonah blinked at her in confusion.

"But if he was trying to get into our heads, then why didn't he? What was stopping him?", he pink haired boy asked. Alecto smirked at him.

"Our necklaces.", she told him. Both Jonah and Zach looked at her like she had grown two heads.

"Huh?", the said, speaking in unison for the second time. Alecto grabbed the charm of her family's heirloom necklace and cradled it in her palm.

"My family's heraldry necklace isn't just a pretty accessory; it's also a powerful magical talisman that protects against poison, possession and psychic attacks. The same could be said for your chokers.", the red eyed girl unveiled. Jonah and Zach blinked at her and grabbed the gem charms of their chokers.

"You mean these things you gave us for our birthdays?", Zach questioned. Alecto nodded.

"Yes. I placed similar enchantments on them. They aren't as old or as strong as the ones on my heraldry necklace, but they're powerful enough to keep the likes of Brother Blood at bay. Sorry for not telling you they were there when I gave them to you. I did the spells at three am and kinda forgot they were there... ", Alecto apologized sheepishly. Zach and Jonah both fondly smiled at her.

"No worries. Forgetting the results of a magical all-nighter happens to the best of us.", Zach said maturely. Jonah's smile turned a bit feral.

"Yeah, how do you think I keep forgetting about all these demons I keep summoning on accident?", Jonah said mischievously. He frowned though when he saw that a glowing red pentagram had started to appear underneath his and his friends' feet. He pointed down at the symbol and glared at it.

"Fuck off, Satan! I've told you a million times, you're not getting my fucking soul!", Jonah shouted at the pentagram. A faint whining sound was heard from the sigil, and Jonah glared at it harder, seemingly understanding what the thing on the other side of it was saying.

"Oh boohoo, let me play you a song on the world's smallest violin! You think I care that you have a quota to fill?! Go cry to daddy Lucifer if you're gonna be such a little bitch, you discount cartoon devil!", Jonah said ruthlessly, throwing as much shade as possible. The symbol faded away soon after that, leaving several pedestrians in the hallway very freaked out and confused. Alecto and Zach, having experienced weirder things related to their pink haired compatriot, simply watched this occur with matching expressions that said 'really? This shit again?'.
