Green hills..

SONICS POV:

I woke up lazily in my old , comfy hammock , yawning then rubbing my half- opened eyes. I stood up , something felt off but , I didn't know exactly what it was, I was probably just hungry! I should ask tails if he could make me up some chilli-dogs for breakfast, speaking of tails , where is he?
I ran out of my small cabin , letting my arms fall behind me freely , feeling the soft cold breeze speed past me as I went the opposite way , I always felt like i was at peace while running , it's so calming just feeling the cold air run throughout my fingers , brushing my fur with its soft touch as I collided with it.
Suddenly, I heard tails distinctive voice and I smiled , there he is! And so is Amy , knucks ,cream and slightly surprisingly ; rouge!
"Hey guys!! Over here!" I shouted as I made my way towards them , my little brother jumping up and waving with a big smile as he saw me.
"Hey sonic! We have something for you!" Amy said, I came to halt as I reached the picnic table they were at, I did kinda feel left out sometimes when they did stuff like this without me , but it's fine!! I'm sure they just forgot or something.
My thoughts were stopped as I saw a plate of around 6 chilli-dogs on a plate, stacked gorgeously.
"Thank you so much guys!!" I exclaimed , grabbing the place and sitting down with them all with a big cheesy smile on my face , basically jumping from excitement.. this is exactly what I needed!!
"So why are you up so late blue?" Knuckles asked as he took a bite from a sandwich he had in his left hand ,his right hand being occupied with rouges hand secretly , thinking we can't see.
"Oh! I slept in my bad guys.."I chuckled as I rubbed the back of my neck and then shoved a chilli-dog in my mouth , my cheeks full as I chewed.
"You look tired sonic, are you okay?" Tails asked with a smile, wiping his cheek due to him getting crumbs on his fur.
"Oh don't worry I'm not tired, and yeah , Of course I'm okay!! I'm sonic the hedgehog!" I exclaimed with a big smile and laughed , the others joining in.
I then finished eating another two chilli-dogs , just listening to my best friends talk, laughing at a few of their jokes.

God , I could never ask for a better life.

"Hey guys-" I was cut of by a giant bang that made us all jump , it was egg man, shooting at a.. mountain?
Back to asking for a better life or not; Maybe I could ask for a life without egg man.. but that would mean not as much adventure!! I was snapped back out of my thoughts once again by rouge shouting as she started to fly up , holding knuckles arms as she did so.
"Cmon guys we have to stop him,"
I nodded , starting to run as I saw tails and Amy head for 'the tornado' , tails's plane.
