"I can't believe I'm still here and didn't go home" Jisung sighed taking a sip from his coffee. After he finished his tutoring session he stayed in the cafe to talk a little with Minho. But he was there too long and he couldn't force himself to leave.
"Don't you have like less exams and assignments?"
"Not really. Christmas is the time when I can do bigger projects that I've fallen behind earlier and write a few songs for my pure pleasure"
"I think you should just sleep"
"Trust me, if you won't give me a limit, I could sleep 12 hours straight"
"Then do it. You deserve it"
"If only it was that easy" he sighed
"Are you doing something special for Christmas?" Minho mentioned. They couldn't ignore the colorful tree standing in the corner of the room and the warm small lights on the ceiling.
"Visiting my parents. I'll go there by train, they're living not far from here. And you?"
"I'll have to visit my parents too"
"You don't look happy"
"They're so nice and caring. Every time I see them I want to cry. They treat me like I was a miracle, they're repeating they're proud of me"
"That's so sweet and nice"
"That's the worst. What are your parents like?"
"Quite... Formal. Like we wish each other a merry Christmas, hug but with no love. I don't feel like they're my parents. I'm an only child and it's probably an accident I was born"
"I would propose a run away together but I love my family and even if they're tiring, I wouldn't do that to them"
"We'll spend the New Year's Eve together, right?" Minho asked with hope sparkling in his eyes.
"Yeah, Felix is organizing his party, like he does every year"
"You haven't ever gone there"
"I haven't, yeah"
"But it will change?"
"I don't think so"
"You'll see that I'll convince you"
"I won't deny" Jisung finished drinking his coffee.
"Can we meet before we leave for Christmas?"
"I will still visit you at lunch"
"But like, just the two of us?"
"Are you trying to ask me on a date?"
"I won't deny" Minho repeated Jisung's earlier response with a smile.
"I'll think about it. I don't have much time"
"Christmas is soon, let yourself relax a little"
"I will. I'll gladly go on a date with you Minho" Jisung smiled convinced.

Jisung went to his friend's part of uni every day to eat lunch with them. He didn't tell anyone about his date with Minho. Neither did the latter.
It felt special being their secret.
They met the weekend before going home for Christmas.
Jisung didn't have difficulties in choosing an outfit. He had to dress warm and Minho advised him to take the hat and gloves.
"Felix and Changbin have already left"
"Hyunjin and Seungmin too"
"Where are you taking me?" Jisung smiled taking Minho's hand. He was shy but he thought he could do that. Friends do things like that and they were something more than friends.
"It's a surprise"
They walked into Minho's car and went to the place where their first date was planned to happen.
