Zynecia sat in the common room with Nyelle and Kanesha. It was a free period for everyone and they sat around while people around them talked about whatever new thing was happening and at Eastland View High School there was always something new happening.

Trying to distract her mind from just sitting there bored on her phone, Zynecia looked around the room until she spotted the new boy. He was average, dark skin, and had the build of an athlete.

If one saw how hard she was looking they'd think she was interested but truly she had a curious soul for people. He looked like a fuck boy and she had a feeling he was since he started hanging out with Tyrese and his friends since school started. Zynecka honestly wasn't trying to get into anything involving that group even though some of them were her friends. She was still going to ask about the new boy anyway.

"Who that?" Zynecia got the attention of her friends and motioned over towards the new boy.

"I don't know but I need that!" Kanesha said making Zynecia laugh and give Nyelle a knowing look.

"See I didn't ask all that." Zyencia playfully mugged her. Instead of dwelling on it, she figured she was going to figure out who he was in due time. Eastland was messy like that.

When the bell rang Zynecia took her time getting her things together. She didn't like her second block and barely talked to anyone in it. The only friends she had were M.K. and Azir plus their friend group but she didn't talk to everyone in it. Only when she felt like it was convenient for her to.

"Waddup Azi and Maki." Zynecia greeted and gave a head nod to Tyrese and Jamarion.

"Stop calling me that," M.K. grumbled.

"Nigga your name?!" Zynecia scrunched her face up.

M.K. smacked his lips making Zynecia laugh. She did not care for his attitude. She called everyone by their real name unless she had a special nickname for them or the social setting was too busy for her to be saying governments.

"You're late" the teacher announced causing Zynecia's attention to turn to the door. It was the new boy. He gave the teacher his mote and walked over to the group.

He sat down without a word so Zynecia ignored his presence and went back to bothering Azir and M.K. She listened in as they talked about the recent drama with M.K. and his current girlfriend Nae. The current situation was her being in contact with her ex.

"What you need to do is drop that hoe." Jamiri advised. Zynecia shook her head.

"He pussy whipped." Zynecia shrugged. She didn't care that M.K. was mugging her cause they all knew it was true.

"I wouldn't fuck with someone who keep flipping between me and my ex." She continued before putting her headphones in.

For the rest of the class she tuned out everyone conversation. She believed she was going to lose brain cells so it was best if she stayed to herself and minded her business.

"See you later Azir." she hugged him before parting ways and heading to her next class. She went into an ignoring the world mood.
