Elysia froze on the spot as if she had been thrown from the rooftop of a building.

“Yes, sis. Have you met Professor Veldegar?”

It was actually Celian who changed the subject. Even though it was clearly meant to be considerate, Elysia felt saddened by her brother’s action. She was also bitterly disappointed in herself for feeling that way.

“He recommended my study abroad. I had a lot to discuss while you were here. The De Ragnos Academy is…”

Celian began to talk about studying abroad and Professor Veldegar, but Elysia could barely hear half of it. She unconsciously nodded at her brother’s words while replaying the recent events in her mind, trying to figure out where it all went wrong.

Days at the academy passed quickly. Elysia desperately clung to the short time she had to spend solely with her younger brother, Celian, as if trying to make up for all her past sorrows.

Every day, Elysia would head to the academy from the villa, just like going to work. She waited outside the campus for Celian to finish his classes.

Seeing him run towards her with a bright smile in his school uniform made her think that despite the expensive tuition, sending him here was definitely worth it.

The longer she stayed here, the more certain Elysia became of one thing.

“Celian is a very talented child. I want to ensure he completes his education without any hindrance.”

Elysia observed Celian’s classes and had many meetings with his professors. The common topic among them was Celian’s genius and his potential for further study at the Royal Academy of De Ragnos.

Celian showed exceptional talent in Beastmen Physiology , and the Royal Academy of De Ragnos was renowned for this field in the empire. What made Elysia happiest was that Celian himself wanted to study abroad.

“I really want to send him, but…”

Elysia’s biggest concern was the tuition fees. And, of course, her relationship with Hadeon also worried her.

Since their intense encounter, Elysia hadn’t had a single long conversation with Hadeon.

Even after arriving on the outskirts of the capital, Hadeon was busy attending invitations and meetings with other nobles, leaving him no time for Elysia. Elysia, on her part, was busy avoiding him as much as possible within the mansion.

“After fighting like that last time, if I approach him again because of Celian’s tuition, what will he think of me…”

Elysia’s face darkened with worry. Even imagining his reaction was dreadful. She unconsciously hugged her trembling arms.
