After the previous argument, Elysia found herself often thinking about the nights she had spent with him. Despite her growing resentment towards him, she realized with a shock that she resented him for no longer calling her to his bedroom.
Hating him? Elysia thought there was no stronger emotion than that. Perhaps because she knew how dangerous it was to keep him in her heart, she struggled to handle the surge of emotions that erupted whenever Hadeon was involved.
“Shall we walk to the cafeteria together? I’m headed that way too.”
“Oh, yes. Let’s do that.”
And so, she found herself walking alongside Marcel again. Other professors and students who recognized him in the courtyard greeted him casually, casting curious glances at Elysia by his side.
For some reason, she felt that Marcel was effortlessly integrating into her daily life. He was a man standing in stark contrast to Hadeon, yet in various aspects, they overlapped.
Elysia tried not to think about Hadeon. Her goal was to spend the precious remaining time at the academy with Celian as much as possible, pushing other concerns aside.

Time at the academy was swiftly coming to an end, and the date to depart for the capital was imminent.
One evening, with the moon faintly shining, Elysia was pacing the hallway outside the library of the Duke’s mansion, located just a few hundred meters from the main courtyard of the academy.
“I heard the guests have left…”
According to Malcolm, the guests who had arrived at the Duke’s mansion had spent time playing light billiards in the library.
She had seen the guests leave, and Malcolm had escorted the carriage out alone, indicating that Hadeon was still in the library.
Elysia was torn over whether to knock on the door.
Her anxious footsteps continued to pace the hallway outside the library.
During her time at the academy, Elysia had confirmed that her brother Celian was determined to study abroad in Ragnos. She wanted to support him in any way she could.
The biggest issue was the tuition. Celian and Professor Marcel had explained that studying at the Royal Academy of De Ragnos would come with direct support from the Veldeg Royal Family. However, basic living expenses would still need to be covered by their family.
Over the past few days, Elysia had even considered leaving the Duke’s mansion and returning to her previous life of handling clients on her own.
“But if I do that, the baron will find me and seek revenge to the end.”
