The area bustled with activity. The flames from the torch that Hadeon had dropped flickered as they illuminated the pale skin of the fallen Elysia.
Three members of the empire’s most powerful bloodline moved swiftly to save a single human woman. In the distance, the sound of a pack of leopard subspecies howling could be heard.

Elysia opened her eyes after two full days had passed. She widened her eyes at the familiar scenery of the room.
It was the Duke’s bedroom.
What on earth was he thinking, putting me here…?
She was occupying his bed instead of her own, so the mansion’s employees must have gossiped endlessly. She couldn’t help but feel embarrassed. However, there was no time to dwell on the shock. When she regained consciousness, the entire Duke’s mansion was in an uproar for various reasons.
The first to confirm her stabilized condition were, undoubtedly, the maids who attended to Elysia most closely.
“Lady Elysia! You’re awake! Sniff!”
“You slept for two whole days. We were all so worried, thinking something terrible had happened.”
As soon as the news of her awakening spread, a group of maids rushed in, crying, causing Elysia considerable discomfort.
After the incident at the Marquis of Fencer’s residence, the way people treated Elysia had changed drastically. The beast-maid servants, in particular, sincerely worried about her, with some even shedding tears of relief. Elysia realized that during her short stay at the Duke’s residence, she had won quite a bit of favor from them.
“The medicine you gave last time really worked. My mother has improved a lot. I can’t thank you enough.”
Everything started with the pill Elysia quietly gave to a maid whose mother showed symptoms of madness. Rumors quickly spread that the Duke’s human mistress was actually a miraculous healer. At the maid’s earnest requests, Elysia distributed more medicine. Soon, she was revered beyond measure by the employees of the Duke’s mansion.
Elysia, feeling awkward, repeatedly cautioned the maids.
Until now, Elysia’s blood ability had only been officially used to treat Ban, a retainer of the Duke. Even that was just by giving him pre-made medicine.
I haven’t received permission to distribute the medicine to the mansion’s maids yet…
Elysia recalled Hadeon’s reaction when she bled herself. It seemed that her contract with him limited her powers to those he designated.
She misunderstood his intense reaction as a violation of his authority rather than concern for her.
She warned again and again.
