Amirah's life finally felt normal again. The fear that had once followed her everywhere seemed to be gone. It had been weeks since she had received any creepy messages or felt like someone was watching her.
At first, she couldn't shake the feeling that something bad was about to happen. She stayed on edge, checking over her shoulder and locking her doors twice. But as the days passed without anything strange happening, Amirah started to think that maybe it was all just a prank. Maybe someone was messing with her, and now they'd gotten bored and moved on.
She felt relieved, almost like she could breathe again. Life felt calm, and she wanted to believe it would stay that way. But deep down, a small part of her couldn't help but wonder—was it really over? Or was the quiet just another trick waiting to catch her off guard?
Amirah's bond with Ahad and Kashish had grown stronger, and she felt grateful to have them by her side. But sometimes, Asher made her feel... off. She didn't know why, but certain things he did stayed in her mind longer than they should.
Like that day in the canteen. They were all laughing, enjoying their time, when Asher leaned closer to her and said, "Tumhari aankhein ajeeb si hain, Amirah. Bohot alag. Jaise... secrets chhupa rahi ho."
The way he looked at her made her uncomfortable, but she had laughed it off, calling him strange. It was easier that way. He was her friend, after all. "Shayad mein hi zyada soch rahi hoon," she had told herself later, lying in bed.
But the way his words echoed in her mind made her wonder if she should've taken it more seriously. Still, she shook the thought away. "Dost hai... kuch galat nahi soch raha hoga," she assured herself.
Even so, the feeling didn't leave.
(At present)She was sitting alone in the college courtyard, her thoughts drifting back to the stalker. She had no idea who it could be, but her mind kept coming back to Arie. Kya woh stalker ho sakti hai? Arie had always hated her, and it seemed like she would do anything to make Amirah's life harder.
Her thoughts were interrupted when Arie approached her with that familiar smug look. "Tum toh har jagah sabko tang karti ho, Amirah," she said loudly, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Kya tumhare paas apni koi zindagi nahi hai?"
Amirah tried to ignore her, looking down at her book. Shayad agar main kuch nahi bolun toh woh chali jayegi, she thought, hoping Arie would just leave her alone. But no, Arie wasn't done.
"Sabko dekh kar tumhein achha lagta hai na?" Arie continued, her voice growing louder. "Tum jo bhi karti ho, bas sabko impress karne ke liye karti ho."
Amirah clenched her fists, her heart racing. She didn't want to engage, but the words hurt. Just as she was about to respond, Ahad appeared out of nowhere.
"Arie, bas kar," he said sharply, stepping between the two of them. "Kya zaroorat hai yeh sab kehne ki? Tumhe sab ko neecha dikhana zaroori hai?"
Arie glared at him, but Ahad stood firm. "Agar tumhe kuch kehna hai, toh yeh tumhare liye waqt nahi hai. Chalo, Amirah."
Ahad turned to Amirah, his expression softening. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice gentle now.
Amirah nodded, though she still felt upset. Kyun hamesha mujhe hi target karti hai Arie? But she was grateful that Ahad had stepped in. He always had her back.
"Thanks," she whispered to Ahad, trying to shake off the feeling of humiliation.
"Don't worry about her," Ahad said with a reassuring smile. "She doesn't know anything."
As they walked away, Amirah couldn't stop thinking about the situation. Kya Arie sach mein stalker ho sakti hai? The thought lingered in her mind, but for now, she tried to focus on the fact that Ahad had been there when she needed him most.
—————————————————Amirah and Ahad sat on the college bench, enjoying the quiet after a busy day. The soft breeze made everything feel calm, and for a moment, Amirah allowed herself to relax. She was lost in her thoughts when Ahad nudged her playfully.
"Kya soch rahi ho?" Ahad asked with a teasing smile.
Amirah shrugged and smiled back. "Bas yeh, ke hum dono ka future kaisa hoga."
Ahad raised an eyebrow. "Future? Tumhare future ke baare mein sochna toh tumhare liye bohot door ki baat hai," he teased, laughing softly.
Amirah chuckled, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Haan, tum bilkul sahi keh rahe ho. Par phir bhi... sochti hoon ke hum dono kaha tak jaayenge. Kya hamesha dosti aise hi rahegi?"
Ahad smiled, leaning back. "Hamesha saath chalna hai, Amirah. Koi farq nahi padta ke hum kahaan ja rahe hain, jab tak tum jaise dost hain, sab kuch asaan hai."
Amirah's heart warmed at his words. "Mujhe yeh pata hai. Tumhare saath rehna, tumhara saath milna... sab kuch bohot acha lagta hai."
Just then, Kashish walked by and overheard them. She grinned and walked over to join them. "Kya baat hai, tum dono itne serious kyun lag rahe ho?"
Amirah and Ahad both looked up, and Amirah smiled. "Bas yeh soch rahe the ke hum dono ka future kaisa hoga."
Kashish sat down beside them, leaning back. "Future ka sochna toh accha hai, par sabse zaroori cheez yeh hai ke tum dono apni dosti mein khush raho. Tum dono ka saath hona hi kaafi hai."
Ahad laughed, nudging Kashish. "Kashish ka toh apna philosophy hai. Lekin sach mein, humare liye sabse zaroori hai yeh dosti."
Amirah smiled, her eyes shining. "Haan, yeh sach hai. Humari dosti... hamesha waise hi rahegi."
Kashish nodded, her voice full of warmth. "Aur agar kabhi kuch ho, hum hamesha ek doosre ke saath rahenge."
Ahad grinned, "Bas, ab yeh dosti aur maze se chalegi."
They all laughed, knowing deep down that whatever the future held, their friendship would always be there—strong and true.
