Not Insane, just different

Chapter 17: Twin Trouble

So we were heading to the cemetery to sort all this out. We could be insane, half dead, or have powers of some sort, which may be true, considering I'm a shadow no one can see, for real this time.

"But seriously how did we managed to see Rhianna?"

"Because we really DO have powers."

"Or we could be half dead." Aiden stated.

"Why exactly are we going to the cemetery? I'm confused as hell! I mean, all we do is hide from the police and doctors in forests, and find places to live after!"

"We need to sort all this out. I'm just as confused as you are."

"Maybe the doctors aren't going to kill us, I mean, who knows? Maybe they really ARE helping us."

"But remember? They killed the other ones like us, just by trying. Their definitely going to kill us too."

All of our minds were just messed up as usual. Nothing made sense, that was, until I heard a big BAM! and something fall to the floor.

To me, it looked like another shadow person. Only worse, he was bleeding from his chest and had blood all over his face, and his skull was noticable, like someone just ripped his face in half. I wanted to scream, but I did nothing and just stared at it.

"Guys....is THAT a dead person?"

"Who? I can't see anything! I wanna see!" Tori looked around. I pointed her head to the body, yep, she could see it too, so it wasn't a shadow.

"Ew he's bleeding from his head!"

"Why does he not look like a normal human?"

"$#○□⊙"

We all turned around sharply to see the creature from the closet crawling towards us. And we all just dashed away, screaming. Thankfully it was slow, so no one got hurt, but it was chasing us. It reminded me of some creature I had heard about on those paranormal creatures videos on YouTube. I quickly took a pic of it, and told Tori "in your face!". She just scowled and we made a quick idea to go hide in an alley for the night, until we can find a solution to all this.

"This one is dark, not noticable, and quite warm actually." I said

I couldn't help but turn around and look behind me every 5 minutes. I felt like we were being watched by...something. I dunno, I usually got that feeling.

"We should set up, but not leave our stuff here." Aiden stated

"Your place? You got it all wrong pal, leave NOW." A male figure said behind me. I turned around.

One boy around the age of Aiden held himself a knife. He wore dark ripped blue jeans, and a plain black sweater. He had a scar near his left eye and one on his forehead. Then, 2 young girls me and Tori's age came from behind.

"Hey, who are these assholes?" One girl said. She wore ripped dark blue jeans, red and black sneakers, a plain black shirt, a red vest, and long black curls on her head. Her eyes were blood red with long red eyelashes and blood red lipstick. I assumed it looked a lot like Tori.

"I dunno, but they could be useful." The other girl said. She wore black, purple, and green Jordans's, normal dark blue jeans, a black sweater tied to her waist, a green tank top with rips dangling under the shoulders, and her eyes were pitch black. Her eyeliner was green too. Her hair was also black curls, but tied into a high ponytail. Her arms had a green substance on them. It looks dry, maybe toxic?

"Lemme guess, your Tori?" The red one pointed to Tori. She nodded and said nothing.

"And your Layla?" The green one pointed to me. I also nodded and said nothing.

"Well then, we have ways of dealing with you. Yeah, we know, your confused as hell, but boss wants you." The boy replied.

"And don't try fighting us with your "shadow powers". The green one said to me.

"Yeah, just so you know, we have powers too." The red one said, rising her hand and some red foggy air came right out of her hand.

"What's that? And who are you people anyway?" Tori finally asked the question we all had.

"I'm you. Just better." The red one replied. She then continued.

"Oh yeah, this is called "fear". Try not to touch it, you'll get paralyzed."

"And I'm Layla, modified up a bit. The green one said.

"Ya see this green stuff?" She pointed to her arm. "This is called poison. Also don't try touching it."

"And that's Aiden. He doesn't talk much. He just kills. He has death powers." Red pointed to the dark hooded boy.

"Apparently, our boss wants YOU to have these powers too. Your strong. We're gonna need you." Green said.

We all looked at each other. What "team" were they talking about. We decided to follow them. After all, they are US.

4 hours later

It took us a while, but we climbed up some rocky area and right into a dark cave. Half the day passed by now. It was 5 or so now. We entered the dark cave. I used my phone as a light to guide us, but green told me to shut it off and our vision will become much more vivid in darkness. I didn't know what she meant until all the darkness was gone. I could see every rock and bug and bat so clearly, and I wasn't scared considering I hate bugs and bats. I started to question green girl. If she was me, was she the demonic version that possessed me a long time ago, and if so, why does she need me?

"Why are taking us here?"

"Aren't you confused as hell and want to know what's going on?"

In a way, the answer was yes, but also no, not by demonic versions of us.

"Yeah...anyway, how farther? My iPod touch's battery was dying, and I still wanted to hear music along the way.

"We're close, like 5 minutes away."

We past by some people running around fast. It startled us for a second, then we realized, they were the people the doctors had killed. Thier faces matched the files on the computer. Wow, how did I know that? That was like 2 weeks ago or so. Finally, we approached a man, just standing there, a statue of a man.

Aiden and I just stared. Tori gave a disgusted face as if to say what the hell is this?

"Why is it so....still?"

"Because it's a statue Tori."

"Ooohhh."

"Ready guys?" Hoodie Aiden said.

"Oh hell yeah!" Green said as she gave an evil smile, showing off fangs.

"Wait...what are you--- Aiden gave a man scream as Hoodie climbed right onto him.

"You terrorists! I knew not to trust you!" I say as I punch the green girl jumping on me.

"Go on, use your powers. In this cave, you can!" Red shouted.

What the hell? If they wanted us dead or unconscious, why are they giving us hints and wanting to help us? We're not that weak.

Tori became pale as she turned into a spirit, not being able to be seen. While Aiden turns giant and furious, and soon, was wrestling Hoodie Aiden as a werewolf. Then I became a shadow and fell into the ground, where green can't get me.

During our free time at dad's house, we were able to learn more about our powers.

Meanwhile, I was under the ground, hoping green can't follow me down here, and I looked around. There were 3 tombstones here. Each had....our names written on them. Then, I felt a liquid touch my hand...it looked green.
