Expectedly, I didn't sleep. I doubted I could, after what had happened yesterday. And, looking around the dining hall that morning, I could tell everyone was about the same. Firey and Pencil hadn't even shown up, which was expected. Flower also hadn't come, which was probably for the better. The tension in the room could be cut with dental floss.

We sat in a tense quiet for a while, before Blocky asked, "So, are we gonna talk about what happened yesterday?"

"What do you mean?" Icy raised an eyebrow.

He shook his head. "I mean that we have to escape faster than ever now." He said, "Mononounncer was serious about killing us off if we messed up—we saw that yesterday with Match. And we also know those motives he's got work, since she killed Spongy."

No one answered his correct explanation for a while, before GB quietly muttered, "I don't trust you all."

"What?" Teardrop asked, "You've been like, Ultimate Detective mode this whole time, and now you wanna give up?"

"It's not that I'm giving up. If I'm gonna die, it won't be from anyone's hands but my own. That ideal doesn't stop just because we're a team now. I'll still help you all, but please don't expect me to be as close to you as you wanted."

Again, silence. As much as I wanted to be, I knew I couldn't be mad at her. After all, she was just trying to survive. Even if it was in an unconventional way, I wouldn't stop her. "I guess that's fair..." I nodded.

"I'm glad you understand." She smiled softly once more, then turned and left the dining hall. TB stared at her in a concerned manner for a moment, before following her swiftly, likely to talk to her about her decision. After a few minutes of tension, everyone followed her lead. Just a few minutes after, Mononounncer showed up in front of me.

"What do you what..?" I asked, trying to appear neutral, even though I was actually pretty scared of it after what happened yesterday.

"Just letting you know that a new floor of the school is open. I already told everyone else—They're waiting at the stairs for you." It was gone as quick as it had shown up. Shaking it off, I quickly met at the stairs with everyone. The gate blocking it was gone, and now we could go up them.

"Where's GB?" I asked as I looked around, "And TB?"

"Already went up." Blocky said, motioning towards the stairs, "GB really didn't want to work with anyone but TB, and I guess he's trying to talk her out of it."

"Oh."

"Let's just go." TD persuaded, dragging Needle upstairs. We grouped up, and began to look around. No one in the Squashy Grapes said anything, apart from the quiet chatting coming from Teardrop and Needle. We saw two some new classrooms, and a library where, to our surprise, we found TB looking around.

"Hey, TB!"  Coiny grinned and waved at him. He turned around, waved with a little smile, then went back to his own search.

Needle looked around a bit, before raising an eyebrow, "Where's GB?"

"Archive." He simply said, pointing to a door none of us had yet checked.

"Should we go talk to her...?"

"Nah, give her a little." Coiny convinced, putting a hand on Needle's shoulder to keep her from running off. I only had time to shrug, when I finally noticed a laptop on a bookshelf.

"Guys!" I exclaimed, walking over to it, "Do you think we could use this to call for help?" TB looked over at it and shook his head.

"It's dead." He sighed. I frowned, but nodded.

Looking over at the Archive door, I hesitated, before quietly muttering, "I'm gonna...check on her." Before anyone else could say anything, I had fled into the room. There were bookshelves full of files lining the walls, and GB was leaning against one, flipping through a labeled case file.

"What is it, Leafy?" She suddenly asked, without even looking up.

"I...I was just worried about you." I said reluctantly. To my surprise, and immense relief, she simply chuckled. We stood in a tense silence for a minute or so, before I randomly thought out loud, "You...seem like you still trust TB. I-I mean, I'm not surprised, since you told me how close you two are, but—"

"It's not just him, either." She interrupted, "I know you're trustworthy, too."

That caught me off guard. "Really?" I asked.

"Yeah. I just...can't see you hurting any of us, I-I..." She sighed, "I don't know, and I can't be sure, but I think I can trust you at least a bit more."

I was still shocked, but I managed to smile. "Thanks, GB."

"No problem." She smiled back, albeit briefly, before she remembered something. She grabbed a power cord from a box in the room and inspected the end of it a bit. Finally, she asked me, "You saw the laptop, right? The one on the bookshelf?"

I nodded, "Yeah, but it was dead."

"I think this can charge it."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah. Come on." She led me out of the room and to the laptop. Lo and behold, when she plugged it into the cord, it turned on effortlessly.

"Guys, over here!" I called out to the rest of the group, who quickly walked over. Surprisingly enough, the computer didn't need a password. There was only an email on it, which GB opened and read out loud for us.

"Dear [REDACTED],

You have to shut down the operation. Something has breached the system, and is adding in an additional system that could crash the whole thing. Shut it down before it's too late, or it could be disastrous for the rest of the world."

...

What...?

"What does that...mean...?" TD was the first to mutter. No one answered her question, however. How could we?

"I think we should hide this." Needle suddenly said, "Or at least one of us should hold onto it."

Coiny raised an eyebrow, "Why?"

"Well, we know Flower obviously can't be trusted. I think one of us—probably GB or Leafy—should keep it in their room so that she can't get to it."

"I can do it." GB offered. The rest of us swiftly agreed. Not as if we had a choice, anyways. GB slipped the laptop into the inside pocket of her cardigan, and we went back to the dining hall to share our findings with the others. They shared that they found a pool, and locker rooms that had a card reader next to each door.

"Apparently if you scan your card on the wrong door, you die." Pin said flatly, "So, guys avoid the girls room, girls avoid the guys. Okay?"

"...Right." GB nodded, pulling out the laptop, "We found a library and archive room. There was this laptop in there that had some weird email on it."

"Dear [REDACTED],

You have to shut down the operation. Something has breached the system, and is adding in an additional system that could crash the whole thing. Shut it down before it's too late, or it could be disastrous for the rest of the world."

"That's...creepy." Pen muttered.

"I'm gonna keep it in my room for now. We don't want Flower getting to it, in case she does something to it."

"Fair enough."

"Whoit noiw?" Bubble asked.

"I'm heading back to my room." Icy said flatly, leaving the dining hall fast. Eventually, all of us followed her lead. Something about this felt...wrong...No, it wasn't just something. Everything here was wrong in some way.

Even me.
