The morning after Y/N stayed over at Jungkook’s house was quiet, with an air of uncertainty hanging between them. Jungkook had insisted on getting her breakfast, and though Y/N initially felt awkward about it, she was too tired to argue. The warmth of his house was comforting, but the tension between them was palpable.

Y/N was sitting at the breakfast table, the smell of coffee filling the air. She absentmindedly stirred her cup, her gaze flicking toward Jungkook, who was leaning against the counter, his eyes on her.

There was a quiet intensity in Jungkook’s gaze as he watched her, his thoughts a mess of confusion and desire. He couldn't stop himself from glancing at her more than usual. The way she moved, the way she seemed to light up the room even in her tired state—it all drove him crazy.

His fingers drummed against the counter, and he caught himself staring, his heart picking up pace. He quickly averted his eyes, pretending to focus on the coffee machine, but it was useless. He was aware of everything about her. He could feel the heat rising in his chest every time she smiled, every time their gazes locked.

The silence between them was shattered when Y/N stood up to take her cup to the sink. As she passed Jungkook, her sleeve brushed against his arm. It was just a small touch, but it sent a shock through him. He felt an electric current from the point of contact, his heart thudding louder in his chest. She didn’t seem to notice, but Jungkook was aware of everything—the softness of her skin, the faint scent of her perfume, the warmth that lingered even after the touch had ended.

Y/N, too, felt the moment. Her breath caught, and her cheeks flushed a light pink. She quickly turned away, hoping Jungkook hadn’t noticed. But of course, he had. He always did. And he couldn’t get the sensation out of his mind.

Jungkook’s Struggle:

As the morning passed, Jungkook found himself unable to focus on anything but her. She had changed something in him, something that he wasn’t ready to confront. He had always prided himself on his control, on being able to keep his emotions in check, but Y/N was different. She made him feel things he didn’t understand—things he wasn’t sure he was ready to acknowledge.

At one point, Y/N asked if she could help him with some paperwork, and when she stood up, she bumped into his chair. Her hand reached out instinctively to steady herself, her palm brushing against his arm. Jungkook flinched slightly at the unexpected touch, his heart racing. The contact was brief, but it was enough to make the air between them feel heavy.
