Gu Xiaofan supported Xu Ruobei, who was crying uncontrollably, and wanted her to sit down. However, Xu Ruobei didn't know whether she was crying too hard or for some other reason, but she kept grabbing Zhong Han's coat sleeve and crying. No matter how Gu Xiaofan tried to persuade her, she just wouldn't let go.

There was no other way. After Gu Xiaofan's several unsuccessful attempts, Zhong Han could only let Xu Ruobei continue to grab him and cry, even though his body was stiff and his face was blue, with wet marks on his sleeves.

Many times, when they thought Xu Ruobei had finally cried enough and was exhausted, she would unexpectedly take a breath for a moment and then continue crying bitterly, with no intention of stopping because she was tired.

Finally, when Zhong Han's face had become extremely ugly, Xu Ruobei finally let go of Zhong Han. She took the tissue handed to her by Gu Xiaofan and wiped the tears from her face. She looked at Zhong Han's wrinkled sleeves and said a little embarrassedly, "I'm sorry, I... lost my composure. I can compensate you for the laundry expenses later."

"No, I'll leave you for a moment." Although Zhong Han's face had not recovered yet, he still smiled at Xu Ruobei, then took out the key to the locker from his desk drawer and walked away.

"I'm sorry to trouble you." Xu Ruobei watched Zhong Han walk away, then turned around and smiled at Gu Xiaofan, her smile sounding a little bitter.

Gu Xiaofan quickly waved his hands: "It doesn't matter, we all understand your current situation. No matter who it is, the reaction will not be much better."

After hearing what Gu Xiaofan said, Xu Ruobei's eyes turned red again, tears filled her eyes again. She quickly wiped them with a tissue and raised her head slightly, trying to force the tears back into her eyes. Her body was trembling slightly, and the tip of her nose was red. She looked even more pitiful than when she was pale and bloodless last time.

Gu Xiaofan comforted Xu Ruobei a few words, hoping that she could cheer up and be in high spirits. Xu Ruobei said nothing except a few words of apology for crying out loud just now. Zhong Han came back soon. The shirt he had just worn had been changed. It seemed that after changing the clothes that were wet with tears, his whole state had recovered, and he looked refreshed again.

"Ms. Xu, are you sure that the deceased is your husband Ren Xuefeng? What I mean is, when we found the body, it had already been severely deformed, and it was not so easy to identify." Zhong Han sat down at his desk, crossed his fingers on the table, and looked at Xu Ruobei seriously.

Xu Ruobei nodded weakly: "I am sure, even if my husband's body is badly deformed, I will not make a mistake. There is no way I can make a mistake where the birthmarks and scars are on his body."

"Did he disappear or run away from home?" Gu Xiaofan asked.

"I can't really explain it," Xu Ruobei twisted her fingers, "He's a businessman, and his work and rest schedules are not always stable. When he's busy, it's common for him not to go home for several days. Sometimes he's on a business trip and away from home for ten days or half a month. So, I can't say whether he's missing or should be considered a runaway."

"What was his mental state when you last saw him? Do you remember?" Gu Xiaofan tried to enlighten Xu Ruobei.

Xu Ruobei buried her face in her hands and shook her head painfully: "I don't remember. I just know that he didn't come home for many days. I called him but couldn't get through. Later I felt something was wrong and ran to the police station to report the case."

"Didn't you say at the time that he eloped with his secret lover? Why did you have such a suspicion at the time?"

When Xu Ruobei heard Gu Xiaofan ask about this, her pale face turned red. "I...we had a fight before. I thought he didn't spend enough time with me at home recently, so I suspected that he had a mistress outside. We had a fight, and then I couldn't find him. I went to the police station and got anxious, so I said a few angry words."
