After changing cars twice and walking a long way, they finally arrived at Ren Xuefeng's factory. Since it was a factory, it was naturally located far away from the city center. There were not many pedestrians around, and it was already dark. Gu Xiaofan followed Zhong Han closely, fearing that she would be left behind. If she was not unfamiliar with Zhong Han, she would have reached out to grab Zhong Han's sleeve.

After walking for a while, Zhong Han noticed Gu Xiaofan's "follower" behavior, so he slowed down his pace slightly to make it easier for Gu Xiaofan to follow.

"Afraid of the dark?" Although he used a questioning tone, he seemed to already have the answer in his heart.

Gu Xiaofan nodded: "I have been afraid of the dark since I was a child. When I stay in a dark place, I feel like there is a cold wind blowing straight into my body from all directions, and all the hairs on my body stand up!"

Zhong Han's mind reappeared the expression on Gu Xiaofan's face when he went to the scene in the morning. He had never met such a timid female colleague since he joined the police force. Gu Xiaofan was an eye-opener for him: "Why did you choose to be a police officer in the first place?"

Gu Xiaofan smiled a little embarrassedly: "It's a bit embarrassing to say, it was completely a coincidence. I thought I couldn't get into the early batch at all, so I was encouraged by my classmates to fill it out purely to leave no blanks on the application form. I didn't expect that I would actually be admitted in the end! Later, when I graduated and went to the Public Security Bureau, I applied to be an office worker, but I don't know what happened later, I inexplicably became an outside worker, and I have been doing it until now!"

Zhong Han listened silently, seeming a little helpless about Gu Xiaofan's experience. He did not make any praise or criticism, but continued walking forward at a slower pace.

Gu Xiaofan walked beside him for a while, and finally couldn't help but say to Zhong Han: "Um... about what happened in the hotel last weekend... I'm sorry!"

"It's okay," Zhong Han glanced at her, "I was originally thinking, if you continue to pretend that nothing happened, how should I remind you again, but since you are still honest, let's just call it a one-to-one tie and let that matter go."

"Again? One to one?" Gu Xiaofan's eyes widened in surprise when he heard Zhong Han say that. "Oh! You really did it on purpose! I knew it! How can you be so petty as a man! I didn't do it on purpose that day. It just so happened that I couldn't help it at that time, and you just happened to turn around from the corridor. It was an unintentional mistake on my part, but you are so vindictive!"

"Vengeful? If I really wanted to pick a fight with you, I should have spit on your chest, that would be a real draw, right?" Zhong Han said he couldn't accept Gu Xiaofan's accusation, "If you think about it, you will know that it is more painful to spit it out yourself, or to have someone spit on you."

Gu Xiaofan couldn't help but imagine what would happen if the roles were reversed and Zhong Han vomited on her. Just thinking about it made her stomach feel uncomfortable again. So although she was still a little angry because she was tricked by Zhong Han, she couldn't help but feel a little short of breath: "Anyway, anyway, I know that you are a petty man and you don't have any tolerance at all."

"Whatever you want," Zhong Han turned his head and gave Gu Xiaofan an insincere smile, "But look at my innocent appearance. I guess even if you tell others that I did it on purpose, no one will believe you."
