Chapter 13: Two-Faced Man

Ren Xuefeng's ex-wife's name was Leng Hui. Gu Xiaofan quickly contacted her using the phone number Xu Ruobei sent to Zhong Han. After Leng Hui heard that she was required to bring her and Ren Xuefeng's child to the Public Security Bureau to confirm Ren Xuefeng's identity as the deceased, she remained silent for a long time on the other end of the phone. Gu Xiaofan was worried that she would not want to come, so he presented the facts and reasoned with her for a long time before Leng Hui spoke in an uncertain tone.

"Is it true?" she asked Gu Xiaofan.

Gu Xiaofan confirmed with her again. Leng Hui was silent for a moment again and said that she would try her best to persuade her daughter to go with her.
