The elevator begins it decent down towards the lobby and the only sounds to be heard are the cables slowly lowering us down and Dean's slow breathing. We stood there hand in hand quietly the entire ride down. As we approach the lobby, Dean finally breaks the deafen silence.

"You hungry?" He manages to mumble out.
"Starving." I exhale.
"Good, we can grab some take out. Let's go."He states and the doors open.

He escorts me out of the elevator first and we leave the lobby and begin walking.
"I'm sorry...I should have never brought you tonight."Dean says finally acknowledging the evening.

"How were you suppose to anticipate that?" I say squeezing his hand as we walked.
"I should've. It's my family. It's my mom. I should've known they...she would have ulterior motives" He exhaled rubbing his face.
"This is not your fault. Don't for a second think that any of what happened tonight was your fault. Parents aren't supposed to be like that. They're suppose to be excited regardless of how it happened. Parents aren't supposed to be manipulative." I say stopping in our tracks.
"I know...I know..."He exhales softly.
I pull him into a hug and caress his hair softly then pull away. He leans in and softly kisses my lips then leans his head against mine.
"Fuck them. Fuck all of them. It's you and me. You don't need them. You never have."I whisper and we begin walking again.
"You, me, and little man." He says and quickly rubs my belly.
"Exactly. So where are we eating? Preggers needs to anticipate her food." I giggle.
"I figured on our way home, well grab some pizza from Vito's and then go home, eat, and watch a movie or something?" He says in the form of a question.
"That sounds perfect." I say softly.
"I can't believe you told my mom to go fuck herself...and you called her a cunt..."Dean says chuckling.
"I hope you know that I never say that to anyone who doesn't deserve it. And your mom...she deserved it. I'm sorry but she did." I say unapologetically.
"Oh she did...I just never thought anyone would have the guts to say it let alone my soft spoken small town girlfriend!"Dean laughs.
"Say that last part again..." I grin with pride.
"Girlfriend?" He asks.
"Ya, I like the sound of that." I grin and he wraps his arms around my neck and pulls me in for a kiss.
"Me too,"Dean says peeking up slightly.
Time passes by us as we make our way to the subway then to Vito's where we carry that pizza box all the way to our apartment. The torture was smelling the pizza for a good 20 minutes as we walked home.
By the time we reached home it was 8 o'clock so we enter the apartment and instantly I want to peel these clothes off and jump into something comfortable.
"Unzip me,please! If I don't get out of these snobby clothes I think I'm going to have a meltdown."I say turning my back to Deana be moving my hair out of the way.
"Yes ma'am. You don't have to ask me twice." He says and places the pizza down on the counter to unzip me.
Yes, I wore the same exact dress I wore on our first date to meet his parents. Slim wardrobe pickings.
I take off towards the bedroom to throw on some pajama shorts and a large t-shirt that sadly isn't so large anymore. The bottom of my bump now peaks out of it but I couldn't care less because I was out of that dress and I was starving.

I return back to the kitchen where Dean is and he had removed his stuffy snobby attire too. He was now in some grey sweat sans an old graphic shirt with some unknown band I've never heard of on the front. He had already pulled out some plates and began pulling slices out for both of us.

"Alright, I think it's time you watch one of my movies now. I watched How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days so now you gotta watch a dude flick." Dean says handing me my plate of pizza.

"What's your pick?" I ask while taking a bite of pizza off my plate.

"The Italian Job. I saw it on Prime while I was scrolling the other day. You game?" He asks raising a brow at me.

"So game!" I grin and we go to the couch and sit.

"We wanna eat first and then watch the movie? I kinda wanna talk." Dean asks sitting on the couch across from me.
