"Lyla...I think it's time for some...elastic." I gulp on the phone as I shuffle through my entire wardrobe trying to find something to wear for my date tonight with Dean while simultaneously trying to shove myself into a dress that clearly isn't budging.
"Didn't Dean gets you some maternity clothes yesterday?" Lyla chuckles on the other end of the phone.
"Yes, but it was like jeans and casual shirts. Nothing date night worthy..." I say defeated rubbing my bump then pushing the dress down to my ankles to take off.
"Well I just have to finish a few things with work that I didn't finish yesterday. We can go get you some sexy elastic date night clothes after my shift? Where's Dean?" Lyla asks and I can hear her clicking her keyboard clearly working while she talks.
"He has to run into the bar for a bit so he's about to head out now and he is going to pick me up for our date after." I explain while desperately trying to slip into another dress. The little black dress I owned that Lyla wore to spy on Dean a few weeks back that was one size too big for me but now it didn't budge over the bump.
"I see! Okay, well then let's meet up and go to some maternity clothing shops. Maybe even look for dresses that aren't maternity that you can somehow manage to squeeze your pregnant ass into." Lyla cackles still typing away.
"Ok...rude. But true. Cool. I'll text you when I'm on my way. Love you, bye." I say and click end.
I hear my door creak open and Dean peaks his head in and smiles.
"What... are you doing?" He chuckles and comes all the way into my room.
"Trying to find something to wear and your linebacker is making it difficult." I pout while the little black dress is half up my bump and my bra is exposed.
"Whatever you wear will be perfect. Don't stress it." He grins and tilts my head up with his finger in my chin.
He softly places a kiss on my lips that makes my toes tingle. Every time he touches me feels like the first time now. I get butterflies whenever I think about him or see him.
"Thanks...but it's our first date. I have to look good for you especially if we're going to..." I say winking at him.
"I'd do things to you even if you wore a paper bag to our date." He chuckles and helps me out of the dress.
"Well that's flattering." I say with a half grin.
"Man, little man sure is growing isn't he." He pulls me in and kneels to my bump.
He places a soft kiss on my bump then looks up at me.
"You're doing good, Mama. He's going to be one cute ass kid." He smiles and stands up.
"I'm trying but I feel like this kid is sucking my energy dry to use for his cuteness!" I exhale exhaustively.
"I promise it'll be worth it. Alright, I gotta get going. I'll be back around 6:30 to pick you up! Be ready!" He smirks kissing my forehead and heading out.
"I'll be ready." I grin stupidly at him.
The door closes behind Dean and the apartment is silent once again. I go to my closet and pull out some maternity jeans and a shirt that Dean bought me yesterday and throw them on. I grab some socks and sit at the table to put my boots on then grab a jacket that's puffy enough to hide my bump just on the off chance I run into Tyler in the hall. Thankfully I haven't ran into him but I already have my story lined up just in case I ever do. He works from home though so he never leaves his apartment unless it's to harass Dean with some wings apparently.
I grab my purse and keys then peak open the apartment door and catch a glimpse of the hallway which is clear. I quickly leave the apartment and lock the door behind me then hustle away from the door like there's a bomb inside because I don't want to be seen anywhere near that door if Tyler were to show.
