The Confession

Hey guys! I'm going to try and put a meme on every chapter from here on out, hope you like it!

"Ah, I see you decided to follow instructions. Very well, sit down, we have a lot to discuss.", Gisela said in a serious tone.

Sophie did as she was told and sat down on the hard floor. "No, no, not there. Here.", Gisela told her. Then, she conjured up a bench. Sophie got up and moved to the bench. "So, let's get started shall we?", Gisela began.

"What do you want from me?, Sophie asked sort of angrily. 

Gisela looked at her and replied, "Oh, you know, not much." 

"Ha! Ya right, just tell me.", Sophie answered disbelievingly. 

"Listen Sophie, we want you to join the Neverseen.", Gisela said in a hushed tone, sounding annoyed. 

"And what makes you think I would do that? I mean, after everything you've done. Why would I do that?", Sophie questioned.

"Alright, you want answers, I'll give you answers.", Gisela practically shouted, clearly not happy with how uncooperative Sophie was being. "Gethen! Get over here, now!", Gisela yelled into the distance. In an instant, Gethen appeared.

"Let me guess, time to tell her everything?", Gethen asked her calmly. 

"Yes, but do try and hurry up. We haven't got that much time.", Gisela said irritably.

"Will do.", Gethen replied. "Alright Sophie, what do you know about your past?"

"Well, I know that the Black Swan created me as an experiment, that they implanted my embryo in my human mother's stomach, left me to live in the Forbidden Cities while keeping an eye on me, and finally, brought me to the Lost Cities before you - the Neverseen - could get to me. Although as I'm sure you know by now, that was kind of a fail.", She retorted.

"Soooo....basically everything you know about yourself is a lie? Well this is going to be difficult.", Gethen muttered to himself, but still loud enough for Sophie to hear.

"What do you mean everything I know about myself is a lie?", Sophie asked him, confused.

"Alright, I'm going to need you to be quiet so I can explain everything. Okay?", Gethen said to her.

Sophie nodded, not sure why she was even here, listening to them. For all she new, they were just trying to get in her head.

"So, a long, long time ago, you were part of the Neverseen. You had two loving parents and an older brother. They were your biological family. And you were...", Gethen started.

"Wait, who were they? Are they still alive? Can I meet them? Do I already know them???", Sophie asked him, bombarding him with all of her questions.

"Sophie, I told you, no interruptions please.", Gethen told her in...a sweet voice?

"Sorry, just curious.", she told him apologetically.

"It's fine. And yes, one of them is still alive, you already know them, and you have also already met them. Your brother, Gethen Ondsinn. A.K.A. Me."
