"Do you like Ruy???", Glimmer questioned, while Ari read her emotions. And yes, Ari was an Empath.
"Ummm....well.........", Sophie started, uneasily.
Ruy was a member of the Neverseen. He was also a part of their friend group, along with Alvar and Gethen. And the truth was, throughout Sophie's time with the Neverseen, and her time with her friends, she had grown to see Ruy as a bit more than a friend. She was just too afraid to admit it.
"Yes..........I do", Sophie finally gave in.
"She isn't lying!", Ari confirmed.
"Eeeee! Oh my gosh, No way!!!!!", Glimmer squealed.
Then, Sophie whispered something into Ari's ear. Ari nodded and turned to face Glimmer.
"Do you like Gethen?", Ari asked her, placing two fingers on Glimmer's shoulder to read her emotions.
"You better not tell anyone! And yes, I do.", Glimmer admitted.
They didn't bother asking Ari if she liked Alvar or something because she wasn't interested in boys. She liked girls, but she didn't really feel ready for a relationship. Even if she was ready, she had never met someone who she thought she might have a crush on.
"Well, I give you my blessing to marry my brother and have ten babies!", Sophie declared to Glimmer.
"TEN!?!?", Glimmer exclaimed exasperated.
"Yup! Ten.", Sophie grinned.
"No way, one is enough. Do you know how much trouble children are?", Glimmer asked them.
"Glimmer, you are a child.", Ari reasoned.
"Ugh! Must you point out every flaw of mine?", Glimmer questioned.
"Hmmm...Let me think about that....Absolutely!", Ari replied.
"Alright, alright. Let's play a game. Truth or Dare anyone?", Sophie suggested.
"Sure.", The girls accepted.
They played Truth or Dare for a while, then they got bored and switched to Never Have I Ever. They had been playing for a while, and were about to go do something else, when they heard a voice in their earpieces. It was Lady Gisela. "Planning Room, now. All of you.", She said strictly.
The girls rushed off to the Planning Room before they could get in trouble for being late or something. They were the first to arrive and had to wait 3 whole minutes for the boys to get there.
"Finally, sit down. We have a lot to discuss.", Gisela ordered.
"Sorry Ma'am.", The boys muttered.
"Now, let's talk about our plan. We are going to somewhat crash The Foxfire Opening Ceremonies.", She began. "We are going to send some of you to the ceremonies, and some of you to Havenfield.", She explained.
Sophie sucked in a breath. Were they going to hurt her family? No, not her family. What did she care if they got hurt?
"Yes Sophie, Havenfield. Don't worry, we don't want to hurt anybody. Well, except for the Black Swan. Now, we know your friends are apart of the Black Swan, but we only want the collective. Your friends are perfectly safe.", Gisela assured her.
"They're not my friends anymore. I don't need them.", Sophie told her.
"I'm glad to hear it.", Gisela said. "So, what's going to happen is, everyone who goes to the ceremonies will be causing a distraction. That way, the people who go to Havenfield can accomplish their part of the mission. When you get to Havenfield, we need you to find a few files. These files are very important.", Gisela started.
"What are the files for? And where can we find them?", Alvar asked.
"The files are so that when the time comes, we can prove that Sophie does not belong with the Black Swan. We need proof, otherwise, nobody will believe us.", Gisela told him. "And to answer your other question, the files are on a certain laptop. This laptop belongs to Dex Diznee. It holds many files for the Black Swan, some that he doesn't even know exist.", She continued.
"So basically, we get in, grab the files, and leave?", Ruy summed up.
"Precisely. Although, you cannot just grab the files. You'll need to insert a hard drive into the computer and wait for the files to transfer. Once that's done, you take the hard drive and leave. Do not lose it, you hear me?", Gisela answered. "Now, who wants to go where.", She made the mistake of asking.
Everyone started talking and arguing about who would go where. It was chaos.
"Alright, that's enough!", Gisela yelled. "I will assign you to your places. Glimmer and Ari, you will go to the ceremonies and cause some sort of distraction. Alvar, Ruy, and Gethen, you will go to Havenfield to retrieve the files.", She decided.
"What about me?", Sophie asked.
"I will let you choose where you want to go Sophie. You know Havenfield the best, but I understand if you want to get in on the action and cause a distraction at the ceremonies. It's up to you.", Gisela offered.
"Oh, okay. Umm, I'll go to........", Sophie paused thinking about it.
