Chapter Seven

"Hey Lan Wangji," Lan Zhan turn around to see Wei Ying leaning his head on his knee that is on the bed, "yeah?" Lan Zhan heart couldn't stop beating in his chest at the way Wei Ying is looking at him.

"Try not to come over here okay? I am not your Wei Ying. I am from this time line," Lan Zhan gave a nod, he turned back around to unpacking his thing.

'I'm don't mind been in the same room as you, Lan Zhan. I can watch over you while we are here.' "Lan Zhan," Wei Ying whispered quietly to himself.

That night Wei Ying walk over to Lan Zhan bed, he got on top of him and then he went down to kiss him. Then he went down to kiss his neck, this cause Lan Zhan to open his eye.

Wei Ying went back up to look at Lan Zhan, "Wei Ying?" Wei Ying smile down at Lan Zhan, 'let's just said your dreaming Lan zhan,' "your dreaming right now. Of course I will be in your dream but don't make a sound okay?" Lan Zhan nodded his head.

Lan Zhan move his arm up to Wei Ying neck and pull him back down for a kiss. The kiss was soft, sweet and then it turn into more passionate between the two of them.

'Mhmmm this is bad, I need to stop,' he pull away, 'be careful while you are in the Wen clan, Lan Zhan?' Lan Zhan gave a nod.

"Good night," Wei Ying watch as Lan Zhan closed his eye and fell back to sleep. Wei Ying got off of Lan Zhan slowly trying not to wake him up. He walk back to his bed and pretend to sleep. He know that Lan Zhan will wake up wondering if that was a dream or not.

Just like that Lan Zhan woke up, he look over at a sleeping Wei Ying. 'Was that a dream?' He then touched his lip and his neck, 'it felt so really, so warm,' he lay back down while thinking of his Wei Ying.

'I knew that he will wake up. Lan Zhan, your so easy to read,' with that last thought Wei Ying fell asleep.

They are now back where they belong, 'well well Wen Chao...how about I play your silly little game again?' Wei Ying have on a smirk.

Wen Chao call on the same people again but this time he include: "Lan Xichen, Lan Wangji, Jin Zixuan, Wei Wuxian."

Both Lan Wangji and Jin Zixuan doesn't want to do it. Wei Ying look over at Lan Xichen, he gave him a grin which kind of confuse him. "I will do it!"

Jiang Cheng know what Wei Ying will do and what he will said too. "Hey Wei Wuxian! What are you trying to do?!" Said a very angry Jiang Cheng.

"Just trying to save everyone, do you want to do it?" Jiang Cheng shake his head no. "Then let me do this," 'I know what I am doing,' he did what he do in the future, he stretched his limb out from bone to bone, from one place to the next.

"Wei Wuxian! Are you going to recite it or not!"

"I will I will, listen here," instead of reciting the Wen rule, he end up reciting the Lan clan rule instead. Lan Wangji and Jiang Cheng didn't laugh at this, only Nie Huaisang, Jin Zixuan and Lan Xichen held back their laugh.

They all got put to work in the field by Wen Chao. Lan Zhan walk over to where Wei Ying is at, "what is it Lan er gongzi?" Lan Zhan feel his heart broke into a million pieces to hear Wei Ying calling him that.

"You did this on purpose," Wei Ying stop plowing, he lean in close to Lan Zhan, "Did I now, Lan er gongzi?" Lan Zhan took a step backs. Wei Ying move back and lean on the plow, "Are you scare of me, Lan Zhan?" His heart skip a beat when he hear Wei Ying calling him Lan zhan.

He turn around and walk away from there. Wei Ying chuckled at this, then a sad expression appear on his face. 'Sorry Lan Zhan, I don't mean to act like this toward you. I can only push you away from me, I don't want to see you to go through the same thing again.'

The next day they were out in the same spot again. The same disciple went up to tell Wen Chao what they have found on their night hunt. Just like before they left from there to head to slaughter Xuanwu cave.

Wei Ying send a talisman in the direction of the fog, with a snap of his finger the talisman sway back and forth clearing the fog from the entrance. The same women congratulated Wen Chao for finding the cave.

'Stupid girl, I was the one who found it. I will let that monster to eat you first,' soon they all walk toward the cave that is above the mountain.

While they are in the cave it was dark and wet, Lan Zhan take Wei Ying hand in his. This got Wei Ying to look at him. "Lan Wangji! What are you doing ?!" Whispered an angry Wei Ying.

"Keeping you away from Wen Chao or he will push you down there," Wei Ying pull his hand away from Lan Zhan grip, "I don't need your protection! I can take care of myself," after saying that Wei Ying went to catch up with the other. 'I don't need your protection Lan Zhan. Where were you when I needed you the most? Why didn't you come with me that day at the qiongqi path? Don't you know that I want to see you? I want to talk to you?'

'I want to protect you. Something I couldn't do back then. I couldn't save Wei Ying when he got push down there by Wen Chao,' with that last thought, Lan Zhan went to catch up with the other.

Just like before Wei Ying got push by Wen Chao but this time Lan Zhan grabbed Wei Ying hand and the two of them fall down to the darkness below them. Lan Zhan hold Wei Ying close to him, one hand around Wei Ying waist and the other one on his head.

He want to make sure that Wei Ying doesn't get any injury on him. The two roll down from the top of the small rock down to the bottom. Wei Ying tighten his fist on Lan Zhan clothes, 'Stupid Lan Wangji! Why drag yourself down here with me?!'

The two stand up and when they did, Wei Ying push Lan Zhan away from him. Lan Zhan is shock to see Wei Ying pushing him away, then he see a glare coming from Wei Ying, "I didn't ask you to help me, Lan Wangji! Mind your own business! I am not your Wei Wuxian! Stop looking for him in me!" 'Just stay away from me, Lan Zhan.'

Lan Zhan took a step back, "I'm sorry...I didn't mean too, I will stay away from you." It hurt Wei Ying to act like this toward Lan Zhan, 'Please do.'
