Chapter Sixteen

"Wangxian? That does have a nice ring to it. You use your name and Wei Wuxian name for this song?" Lan Zhan nodded his head. Wei Ying lean in close to Lan Zhan face, "Will you let me hear it?" 'Even though I already remember the song, I want Lan Zhan to play it for me.'

Lan Zhan left ear turn red just by seeing how close Wei Ying face is to his. "Mn. Let me got get my guqin," with that he got up and go back inside to grab his guqin.

Lan Zhan soon comes back out, seat down, put his guqin on his lap and begin to play the song that he has written for Wei Ying.

Wei Ying couldn't help but take out Chenqing and play along with Lan Zhan. Those around cloud Recesses stop what they are doing and listen to this beautiful music that has both the guqin and flute playing together.

Qingheng Jun and Lan Xichen who just arrived back from NeverNight, the two of them hear the sound of guqin and flute playing a beautiful song that resonates throughout the Lan clan.

The two follow the music, they know where this path is taken them. Qingheng Jun and Lan Xichen end up at the home that belong to Lan Zhan.

The two of them see Lan Zhan is playing in the guqin while Wei Ying is playing on his flute, "why is Wei gongzi here?" Hearing someone else voice near them, the two stop playing on the guqin and flute.

Wei Ying and Lan Zhan look up in front of them to see Qingheng Jun and Lan Xichen is standing in front of them. The two of them put away their instruments, stand up and gave a bow to Qingheng Jun and to Lan Xichen.

Qingheng Jun and Lan Xichen walk over to the two, "Wei gongzi, why are you here in cloud Recesses?" Asked Lan Xichen.

"I.." Wei Ying couldn't bring himself to said it so Lan Zhan decided to speak up for him, "Fuqin, Xiong Zhang, Wei Ying doesn't have any where else to go. He decided to leave the Jiang clan. I...I end up asking Wei Ying to stay at my place instead."

Lan Xichen smiled at this, 'Back in the future Wangji ask me if he can take Wei gongzi back to cloud Recesses. He wanted to hide him and to take him away from the cultivation world that is targeting him.'

"Then A-Zhan, Wei gongzi is your responsibility. Wei gongzi, you can stay," with that Qingheng Jun left from there. Lan Xichen walk over to where his didi and Wei Ying is at, "Wangji, you know what happen next right?" Lan Zhan nodded his head.

Even Wei Ying know what will happen next, 'this time Wen Ning isn't a fierce corpse. Wen Qing family is safe. I wonder how will they attack me? I need to find a way to figure out who was it at the qiongqi path and at NeverNight?'

"But thing seem to be different this time around, Xiong Zhang. Wen guniang and Wen gongzi wasn't at the Wen indoctrination. Wen Chao didn't arrive at our clan during the guest lecture, the Wen sibling wasn't there either," Wei Ying sat down on the wooden rail listen to the two Lan brothers talking to each other.

"If they aren't there, then that mean the two of them are also from the future," Wei Ying eyebrow tick at what Lan Xichen just said. "They live in a place call Dan Fan mountain. I don't think they are there anymore if they know what will happen to them soon." Lan Zhan.

"Where do you think they will go?" Lan Xichen asked his didi.

'They are smart.' "Zewu Jun, may I ask you something?" The two Lan brothers turn their attention to Wei Ying, "What is it, Wei gongzi?" Lan Xichen asked.

"Do you have a book on empathy?" Wei Ying can feel Lan Zhan staring into his eye.

"We do. But why do you need it?" Wei Ying let out a sigh, "I just need to look into something. Can you let me look at it?" All Lan Xichen can do is nodded his head. "Let's meet at the library tomorrow," after saying that Lan Xichen left from there.

"Wei Ying, why do you need to read about empathy?" Asked Lan Zhan. "Like I said Lan er gongzi, I need to look into it," Wei Ying see an hurt expression on Lan Zhan face.

"Can you not call me "Lan er gongzi" or "Lan Wangji" I don't want to put a distance between the two of us," Wei Ying got up, walk over to Lan Zhan and take him into his arm.

This cause Lan Zhan eye to go wide and his ear to turn red. Wei Ying went to his right ear, he whispered, "Then will you become mine, Lan Zhan?" Lan Zhan pushed Wei Ying away.

"No never!" After saying that Lan Zhan walk away from there. Wei Ying let out a long sigh, 'all I can do is push him away. I can't let Lan Zhan to feel the same way about me anymore.' "I'm sorry Lan Zhan."

That night when Lan Zhan come back he didn't see any light inside of his home. Up on the roof, Wei Ying hear the sound of footstep walking into the room below him.

When Lan Zhan turn on the light, he look over to the other side of the room. He doesn't  see Wei Ying in his bed. "Wei Ying!" He rush out of the house to go find him.

Before Lan Zhan can go any further, he felt a string on his wrist. He then got pull up into the sky and landed into Wei Ying arm. Lan Zhan turn around to see Wei Ying looking at him with a playful smirk on his face.

"Let me go," Wei Ying move Lan Zhan to seat next to him. He end up moving slightly away from Wei Ying, "What am I that scary to you?" He asked Lan Zhan.

"Or do you want to said that you belong to the Wei Wuxian in the future?" Wei Ying see Lan Zhan looking away from him. "I take that as a yes, that you belong to Wei Wuxian in the future." 'You will always be mine, Lan Zhan.'

The next day Wei Ying left Jingshi to go meet Lan Xichen at the Lan library. The two of them walk toward a bookshelf, not any bookshelf, this one open up to go down to another library below them.

"I didn't know that you have another library behind this bookshelf Zewu Jun," Wei Ying follow Lan Xichen down the staircase to the library below them, "this is the Lan clan forbidden library. No one is allow to go down here without Fuqin permission or my permission."

Lan Xichen take them to a bookshelf near them, he then look through the stack of book in front of him. A minute or so later Lan Xichen found the book, "here," he took it out and hand it to Wei Ying.

"Wei gongzi, what are you trying to do?" Asked Lan Xichen. "I want to see if I can look deeper into someone mind. Like into the future...see what this person have done or what did they do."

Wei Ying looked at Lan Xichen, "Tell me, who is behind the whole thing?" Lan Xichen breath in then out and said, "Jin Guangshan, he is the one who started the war against Wei Wuxian."

"Then...can you help me to capture Jin Guangshan first?" Wei Ying asked Lan Xichen.
