The Sanctuary

The front door to the Institute opens and Scott, with Jean in his car, drives up. He arrived in front of the Institute and jumped out of his car.

"Oh, yeah! Let the weekend begin!" Scott joked as he slid down the hood of his car.

"Wait!" Said Jean, holding up her backpack. "You're forgetting your homework! Pretend you don't know." She smiled, putting the bag down.

She got out of the car and heard something coming from the trees. She saw someone jump from the tree into the bushes.

"Kitty, are you climbing trees again?" She asked, then looked into the bushes and saw the person running away. "Evan, is that you?"

Jean headed towards where this person was heading. Jean then stopped walking when she saw a water well and a bush. Jean then used her powers to lift the bush into the air to see who was hiding behind it. And it turned out to be Toad.

"What? Oh, so this is how you want to play, huh?" Said Toad before leaping over Jean and grabbing a stick.

"Toad, what are you doing?"

Crapaud then swung the stick at Jean's legs, knocking her over.

"You're getting a head start on the competition, man." Toad laughed. "Would you like some? Ah! Ah..."

He swung the stick at Jean, but it stopped halfway as Jean used her powers to hold it in place.

"Toad, what are you trying to prove?" Jean asked, using her powers to push Toad away from her.

"I'm a champion, not a bum. And guess what? We all have to prove it."

Toad stood up and prepared to swing his stick at Jean again.

"Would you stop it?" Jean sighed, stopping him in mid-stroke again before breaking the stick with her powers.

"Huh? You can't throw a toad." Crapaud said as he threw the stick and jumped on Jean.

But she used her powers again and threw Toad into the water well. She walked to the well, looked down and called to Toad.

"Todd?

Then she heard something behind her, so she looked back and saw a big round metal ball descending from the sky. It landed right in front of her.

Jean walks towards it. When she got close enough, the ball opened and Jean looked inside to see metal tentacles coming out and wrapping around her to pull her into the ball. Crapaud stepped out of the well just in time to see the ball take off.

"No. It wasn't over. I could still have won. It should have been me! Me!"

We pass by someone winding up his surfboard, while someone calls out to him.

"Alex! I don't see him."

"Over there, basking in the sun."

"No. Looks like he just wants to be alone. We'll find him later."

The two guys walked away and Alex was now lying on his back on his surfboard.

It was calm and quiet until something hit the bottom of his surfboard. Alex looked around to see what might have hit him. Alex was hit again, and this time he fell into the water. He looked around and saw a shark coming straight for him. Alex tried to get back on his board, but slipped and found himself completely underwater. The shark was about to bite him, so Alex put his hands forward to protect himself from the shark.

Alex's hands began to glow red and they fired a burst from each hand, hitting the shark in the face, causing the shark to move away from him.

The shark then turned and walked back towards Alex, who looked at his hands and then at the shark. He held out his hands again and hit the shark with another burst. This time he killed the shark and Alex came up for air. He then looked down at his hands as they stopped glowing red.
