Ah'kaedh left right after his niece, Zinah. The Enforcer had some places to be before being able to retire for the night.
"That went rather well", Lar'jar commented once both, Ah'kaedh and Zinah, were gone.
"I can't tell if you are being serious", Lance was still in awe of how much scarier females were. At least that female.
Lar'jar chuckled, tension leaving his features.
"My daughter is reasonable, but her temper sometimes gets in her way".
"So me being in one piece is why you think the conversation went well?"
"Well, partially, but not the main reason", and the Medic went to find a seat. "Ah'kaedh was rather calm".
Lance had no way of knowing what type of aggressive beast Ah'kaedh had morphed into after his imprisonment.
But seeing him now made the Medic more confident that his decision to help his younger sibling had been the right one.

It was so early in the morning that breakfast had not yet been served. The Med Center had usually a good influx of people, but the activity during the early hours of the morning was usually low; if not for emergencies or scheduled appointments, no one but personnel would be found circulating that sector of the clanship.
Lar'jar made his way through the corridors of the recovery ward, heading to the secluded room in which Lance was spending her days and nights.
And how surprised he was upon finding out he was not only the first to arrive there that morning, but finding Ze'ev, Jakhar and Zinah inside, eyes fixated on the sleeping couple.
Last night, the engineer had reconfigured the equipment; now the scan was not only tracking an alien, it was tracking both individuals.
That kind of setup was used for pregnant females, and for babies with their mothers. However making the adaptations necessary for a male and an alien? That engineer had not been happy and for good reason.
Silently, Lar'jar made his way to the scan, syncing his gauntlet with the equipment.
The Medic greeted each (awoken) Yautja there with a nod, remaining silent, to allow Ah'kaedh more time to sleep (or rather, extend him the courtesy of not being awoken surrounded by a crowd). The chamber-like structure somewhat protected the occupants from outside disturbances, but the Enforcer was a light sleeper.
Upon checking the results, the Medic turned to the trio and pointed in the direction of the corridor.
Jakhar and Zinah followed.
"Why are both of them inside the scan, father?"
"Daughter, is your curiosity legitimate or are you just trying to initiate another argument?"
Lar'jar tone was neutral enough. But he clearly was not in the mood for another discussion that led them nowhere.
"Mine is", Jakhar informed, before Zinah could formulate a proper answer.
"In short? They sleep better together. I'm planning to start a treatment on her before we leave for home, and the recommendation was to offer her as much support as possible".
"Recommendation? From whom?", Zinah frowned. Since when her father started to follow other people's instructions?
"Gal'vn, Elder from the Dark Blade clan", Lar'jar clarified.
"They keep slaves!", she replied reflexively.
"Precisely. They have deeper knowledge about that species. Am I to reject knowledge because I don't subscribe or approve the customs of her clan?", Lar'jar countered.
