The Captain sat uncomfortably in the chair as the three stood over him, suffocating him with hostile glares. The only one that wasn't as angry was the robotic man but he still wasn't pleased. He shifted in his seat under there stared. The silence was deafening until the woman spoke.

"Sol, what is the meaning of this. Why did you bring a Captain to our home?"

"He's my Guardian, Ikora."

"Are you for certain?"

The robot man chimed in, trying to defuse the tension with a little light hearted humor.

"Well Ikora, I don't think he'd be able to revive this Captain if it wasn't true. I'm glad you found your Guardian but...a Captain?"

"It just doesn't make sense why the Traveler would choose an enemy to be a welder of the Light."

The blue man said this with his deep, booming voice.

"It might not make sense but the Traveler chose him as my Guardian for a reason."

"What is your name, Captain?"

The woman spoke this time.

"The name given to me by Sol is Apysker."

"Well Apysker, you are here at the Tower, the home of the protectors of the Last City. You are here for a reason as the Traveler picked you as a defender of humanity. This is where we operate from and your new home."

He just nodded in response to her words. This was kind of like what Sol told him when he was resurrected, but he knew she needed to get that point across. It was a big deal after all. The being that gives them all their power chose an enemy of humanity as a soldier of the Light. Maybe there was a more important reason for him to be here and alive, but he hadn't found it yet

"When you are here, you are to behave accordingly. We are putting faith forward on you having good intentions and doing humanity a service by protecting it. We do not trust you yet but we believe you will shape up to be a worth while Guardian."

He could tell the blue man meant business.

"We Guardians do not trust easily so you'll have to work hard in order to gain the trust of others. They will only see you as an enemy. Work hard to prove them wrong."

The robotic man really had words of wisdom.

"While we've been lecturing you, we seemed to miss telling you our names. I am Ikora, the Warlock Vanguard. The man with the blue skin is Zavala, the Titan Vanguard, and the exo is Cayde-6, the Hunter Vanguard. We are the pillars of power and order for the Light-bearers. We made the executive decisions and mission plans. You will be trained under the watchful eye of Zavala as well."

Zavala spoke next.

"I will be guiding you in the ways of a Titan. You will be trained in all subclasses and learn to defend. You will work hard to earn my trust and respect and the respect of the other Vanguard. I will not hesitate to kill you if you step out of line. You are an enemy to us. I will have Banshee supply you with some weapons soon but for now, we are done here. Go get acclimated to the Tower and find your room."

The three parted from the half-circle they form around him and went back to their respective sides of the table to continue their work.

Apysker got up from the chair and took it back to the area where Cayde-6 had grabbed it before. After the chair was secured in the corner, he wanted back through the hallway while feeling the stares of the man and woman from earlier following him. He walked up the stairs back to the courtyard, feeling the warm breeze on his armor as he stood in front of the stairs.

"Well that went swimmingly, don't you think?"

"If that was your idea of good, I don't think I want to hear anymore."

"Oh, lighten up! I'm just having fun."

Apysker just huffed.

"C'mon, let's go look around."
