kirishima swung his arm back and forth in an attempt to get feeling back in it. the more he walked in silence, the more he realized he needed to add sleeves to his hero suit. the only thing keeping him sorta warm was a thin black scarf that he stole the idea of having from deku. kirishima was exhausted; all he did today was walk around in the cold in an open suit for ten hours straight.

lucky for his partner, he had a quirk that didn't work with bare skin, so he could walk around all bundled up in his winter suit. and the man didn't
make it unknown to kirishima. the sun had set about an hour ago, and now they did the final round of patrol; the cold was really starting to set in.

kirishima's arms had goosebumps, and his head was spinning with a migraine. he couldn't tell you if it was the same one from this morning or if it was a new one, but all he knew was the freezing weather made it hard for him to focus on keeping a happy face.

along with the headache he was physically having, his head also spun with the complaints from his agency partner.

the number one hero's anger that was seemingly mellower today got the best of him; the cold weather wasn't really his thing.

"there's just no way," katsuki muttered to his best friend. kirishima looked at his friend with a confused expression. "i'm saying there's no way you gave a girl your hoodie in this weather."

kirishima rolled his eyes as he continued to walk beside the explosive boy. "you're just always cold because your body can barely pump its own blood." kirishima grumbles before reviving a hard punch to the stomach.

"i'll blow you up. i don't care if you're my partner." cats barked. katsuki looked over to see the taller man after not hearing anything in response, which was unusual for the red-haired man. kirishima stood looking forward; his mind seemed to be blank, or he was thinking of something else really hard.

katsuki didn't know what was up with the usually cheery man. he had been acting differently the past month or two. him having a crummy attitude and has been quite quiet. the man that usually always had a goofy grin and had loud, cheery comebacks, seemingly only smiling when he was in uniform and even then it was only around citizens. so seeing the switch in the man's mood sets flags off in the blonde's mind.

katsuki only recently learned about kiri's mental health; when he was younger, it seemingly had gone away before the two had met.

kats found out after a robbery broke out on the street during their patrol hours a month or two back. kirishima chased the man to the top of a building and had stupidly jumped off a roof to try to catch a villain with a flying quirk. he was completely fine from the fall. his quirk helped with that.

but the next day, when he was going into the office to fill out a report, he was pulled away by someone who flashed their hero association badge. katsuki clearly saw as the man's shoulders dropped as he followed her into an empty room.

after five minutes of talk, kirishima walked out of the room annoyed, grumbling about how the women needed to talk to katsuki next. in the conference room. kats was handed a clipboard with a pen and then asked to fill out a sheet of questions honorably and honestly about kirishima's behavior as of the last month. the uncomfortable question ranging from.
