Chapter 5; Interconnected

Michael and Max climb out of the back of their older sister, Mabel's car. Mabel pokes her head out of the window. "Don't be stupid you two!" she shouts before she pulls her head back in and drives off. Max scoffs and walks into the school, Michael following behind him. Max is dressed in his usual red hoodie with a flannel jacket over it, jeans and a pair of grey runners. Michael however is dressed more prim and proper, wearing a white shirt under a blue cardigan, under a long, brown coat with grey trousers and black shoes.

The twins arrive at their lockers, opening them in sync. Max's locker is a mess with his books being thrown in haphazardly, with their covers either having been doodled on or completely ripped off. Michael's locker is neat and tidy with every book being in pristine condition and arranged, with their spines facing out, and each hardback copy being kept with their respective subject.

Zack walks over, opening the locker next to Max's. Max looks over at Zack. "Where'd you get off to last night~?" Zack sticks up his middle figure at Max. Max laughs at his best friend's reaction. "You and Tori left early, one can't help but wonder-". Zack elbows Max "Shut up... we're not like that..." Zack says, blushing slightly at the implication,
"Tori just doesn't really like parties...". Max chuckles and then looks down the hall. "Speak of the devil". Zack turns and spots Tori walking up the hall.

Tori is wearing jeans, a pair of pink converse, a green jumper under a denim jacket that is covered with sown on patches of stars, lighting bolts, hearts, diamonds and other various shapes. She stops at her locker, which is next to Zack's and opens it.
Max elbows Zack. "There's your wife~" Max says teasingly. Tori looks over "I'd hope I am...rather not waste the last four years.". Max laughs at Tor's remark, while Zack is left a blushing, stuttering mess.

Michael is putting books in his bag when he hears someone approach him. He looks up and sees Max.
Michael zips up his bag and throws it over his shoulder. He waves at Tori and Zack and then joins as they walk off to class.
